Hollywood Fires

I live but a few miles from this. It started roughly around 1pm PST yesterday afternoon. Made it so hot cause of the wild fires(98+ in some areas). About 102 down where I live. The fire is smaller but still is going on.

The fires are in close proximity of the LA Zoo, Greek Theater, Griffith Observatory(just opened up after 2 years of remodeling/$95 million price tag of renovations earlier this year), Gene Autry Museum(Holds wonderful western and Indian aritfacts) Hollywood Sign.

For a few hours watched the blazing fires out my 3rd floor windows. Watching the flames hop and inch and move several miles west. Glowing red. Felt something like out of a movie. It is/was so intense to watch.

It was also within a mile and a half of my daughters(2006 graduating class) High School as well.

Yikes.

I used to live on one of the streets they evacuated in Griffith Park.

Hopefully everything turns out alright over there.

yeah everything is cool now. And yes life if cool and wonderful till it hits you in full storm. And there is not much you can do to fight nature. Maybe slow it down with the totally handsome fireman. Cause their looks are just breath taking.

So I digressed. The fire is pretty much smoldered. Yet the fire endangered a lot of Hollywood landmarks, homes and schools.
