High Traffic Domain - What to do with it?

I have a domain that gets about 500 visits a day parked at Sedo. I have not optimized the parking page and thus have not been getting too many clicks.

The site was a news portal and I have thought of using a parking page that automatically pulls news stories from other websites. I have seen places like DomainEmbarking that do this, but I got frustrated waiting a week for them to approve my account, which they did not do. I tried to get into Parked.com, but they did not like my other domains.

Right now the domain is sitting and losing lots of clicks due to the garbage sedo pages. What can I do?

Have you considered hosting your own content for the domain.
Perhaps something relevant to its previous life as a news portal would get mixed
with either some products/services (affiliate) or some click ads.

Also, when you applied to Parked, did you use a referral?
I find that referrals make a difference in how soon you can get a favorable decision.
There is NameDrive and RevenueDirect...where you can somewhat customize and optimize your parked domain.

with that much traffic i suggest you pick a nice topic that pays well in adsense, make a blog which is easy to do, make 1-2 posts and put adsense on the blog and reap the rewards...you can easily make around 10$/day with a good topic and that much traffic.

yeah you can put AdSense on it and make 10 dollars a day, or you can explore and find a company that pays out more and send traffic to their ads. I make about 500 a day
