Gosh oh mighty. I haven't been here in god knows how long!
Please resist the urge to lock or delete this topic as I'd like to say some things to some people and I don't remember every single person.
I'd just like to say thank you to everybody who helped me out last year when I was homeless. 2006 was a rough year for me as many of you know (my mom passing away, being kicked out etc..). Some of you took the liberty of making donations to me when I was in a rough spot and for that I am very thankful and appreciative. You have no idea how much that money helped me out because as soon as I got it I withdrew it to my bank account and that was the only money I had for a week and I got by and had to budget my little money properly on food and things like that.
I'd also like to thank the people who purchased my album. I don't think I've sold a single copy since last year since I haven't been actively advertising it, but I've still been making music every now and then. If you're interested in hearing some of my newer stuff just give me a shout.
It looks like mister RJ is still doing a great job with this community here and it looks like the only direction in site for NamePros is up.
So where am I now? you may be asking. Well I'm in Ottawa. Surprise surprise.
I'll try and put this in a nutshell. I was homeless for a bit... then I got on welfare and a week after I got my own room my girlfriend dumped me. She was pretty much the sole reason I was homeless and right after I succeeded after two months of sleeping under trees and staying in shelters with heavy-drug users, all for her... she left me. I was messed up for a while and after a month of living alone I became very lonely. My room mate even died (motorcycle accident
). My aunt and uncle at that point, took me back because they too missed me. They also knew that working til 3am at Wendy's was interfering with my school and wanted to see me succeed. Unfortunately by that time it was too late to salvage my semester and I lost all three credits. By that point my aunt and uncle wanted to get on with their lives, and long story short, I moved to Ottawa to live with my dad, step-mom, and sister.
Here I am two weeks later and I'm pretty happy. I miss all my friends and it's gonna take time getting used to this completely new lifestyle, but it's where I belong.
I apologize for boring you with my life story but I think the countless people who donated money to me deserve to know where their money went and what became of me. There were a bunch of people who harassed me through various types of communication, claiming I was a big phony faking my homelessness to scam NP members out of their money. I just want all you haters and doubters to know that that couldn't be any more farther from the truth.
So another big thank you to everybody, including Ron James who bought my album. I'm never gonna forget when you told me that your wife was yelling at you for singing the words to one of my songs. Hehehe.
Nowadays I still run my website Xtreme iTalk and I even taught myself to skin a forum properly as you could see if you checked it out. Another reason I came back here is because I'm having difficulty finding part-time work so I'm trying to sell one of my other websites/domains and perhaps dive back into the domain name game.
You guys rock NamePros. For the last time (i promise)... thanks for everything.
