I have a domain and I have a company that I think would really like this domain. I think I could ask a lot of money for it, but I am not sure how much. I'm too new at this! If any of the pros out there would be willing to help me, I would appreciate it. I would prefer to talk about it via PM. If I'm not allowed to ask this, please delete this thread!
Thanks

Just be sure it doesn't contain a trademark. In other words, if you own cocacola.com do NOT contact them. But if you have soda.com, name your price!

I wish it was soda.com! I did search the trademark databases and didn't find anything. I think it's pretty generic as several companies use it in their domain names.

Seems like you have a winner! I would also contact the other companies too.

You can post it here and we can help you.

Just remember to obfuscate it like this - my/name/com - so it won't be indexed by the search engines.

You could also post in the appraisal thread, but remember to obfuscate it there as well. :xf.smile:

Also you should know just because you don't find a trademark listed doesn't mean you are safe.

Many companies won't file for a TM, at least until they have a succesful product or service.

If they have been using the name in the course of their business, and especially if it predates your ownership of the name you could have a problem.

Do some good research before go any further.
