Does anybody have experience doing this? I see very limited options under the manage my account tab and none of those include transferring a domain anywhere.

I've sent an email.

Also, related question: do registrars have to include a way to transfer domains out on their interface?

All you need to do is.... Place the transfer request at the "Registrar" to whom you want to transfer the Domain to. You would also require the Domain (Transfer) Secret/Authorization Code to complete the Transfer process. You will receive an intimation about this Transfer through an email. Once you have confirmed the Transfer with the New Registrar, domain name will get Transferred to the New Registrar, in 5 days from you having approved the Transfer

Do you have any domains at NameTech?

NameTech?? Haven't heard of this one before...looks like they're a reseller under Enom...but, the transfer process is ideally initiated the same way as nathanjacob has mentioned above...

No registrar will offer transfer out tab...they will only have transfer in. So, decide which registrar you want to work with and then initiate the transfer in request from the "gaining registrar".

It is better to work with established registrar, like, enom, moniker, tucows, webnic etc. Neverhead of Nametech...definitely not an ICANN registrar.
