Help purchasing a domain

I would like to buy the domain taxonomy.com

It has been parked and inactive for quite some time. I tried contacting the whois contact but didn't get any response.

I have a budget of $2000 and happy to pay fees for a successful outcome.

Most likely they are not interested, or your offer is to low. Doesn't matter who you hire, if you don't have the proper budget it's not going to work either which way.

It is possible 10x that offer would be too low if they are looking for an end user.

It seems to belong to Thunderstone Software LLC, a nearly 40-years old software company. I see no way an owner like that could be interested in anything less than 7 figures, that is, if they would be interested in selling at all, because the name may be for their product/service in development.

The domain is in use, forwarding to the company's search engine. Why did you see it as "inactive"?
