advice Help me choose domain name for my next project

Catch.Club Catch.Club
So I have a very hard time deciding which should be my primary domain name for my next project (domain portfolio website for my domains) here are two choices :

secure.jpg

Both represent reliability, strong presence, ... but still which one would you choose for primary and why? Any opinion greatly appreciated (also please just write Safe or Secure and not the whole domain for G indexing)

THANK YOU!

hi
I see zero logic to involving concept of safety when trying to sell domains

I see zero logic to involving security also, but secure happens to mean also as verb to reserve for one's self. so this makes more sense a bit!

nonetheless, you do end up again with verb+noun.. which to me is not best combo.

so I'd pick neither for my own project. and keep loooking. some will agree, some will not. I guesss they do not call them opinions for nothing. ;)

that'd be my 2 cents. hope it helps.
cheers

Unless you are going to provide Safe&Secure domains, meaning that you provide assurance of their clean history, no bans, no TM issues etc, neither is a good choice.

It could be misleading for clients and could end up in litigation...

Of those choices, I'd go with SecureDomains.com

Why? Because it doesn't necessarily mean security. To secure an asset in the business sense can also mean to succeed in obtaining something or keeping it away from competitors.

I often ask endusers when doing outreach if they are interested in securing the name.

Given the two choices here, i'd probably go with Secure. Safe might insinuate a bit more of a guarantee that they are safe for whatever reason from possible legal issues as stated above by Recons. Safe would tend to mean more (at least to me) that you are saying they are safe (for whatever) and you are giving your assurance.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't choose either for a general portfolio website. I would prefer a term that was more generic and not meaning any kind of safety of security, especially since I wouldn't be giving those assurances for legal reasons.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Safe Names is a very well known service provider, they could give you legal issues, you should consult your counsel if you are going to compete with them in anyway.

They should have really locked down that domain you own, either way your call, both names are decent.

Isn't that funny?

Safe Names - Experts in global domain registration, corporate domain portfolio management, and online trademark protection

And yet, they failed to secure their own brands .com and are at SafeNames.net

They own their .com, but not in singular, and in domains ending as this OP owns it I would guess.

My bad. I confused "names" and "domains"...

Yes, they are like Mark Monitor, for this very reason they should have bought these kind of names up.

Then you have the issue of the oustanding GTLD's for your .com's, seems to be owned by a party who do not sell cheap.

Thanks for all the answers - yeah secure would probably work better as in meaning to obtain for yourself maybe I'll change a tagline, safe would be better for some kind of "markmonitor" kind of a service.

'll go with SecureDomains becuae it means "to Secure Domains". You know like acquiring something, which would be a great name for Domains AfterMarket.

Secure could mean to acquire, or to some it would be to lock down, could go both ways.

secure or safe relationship with domain market don't make any sense . If you could consider the relation between two words domains then you may have better choices

They made a business of sending C&D for other brands, imagine what they do when it hits close to home?

Thanks for all the input - I agree SafeNames could be a bit of a hurdle down the road so in that perspective Secure would be a better choice. Thanks to all so far for insightful and constructive opinions.
