Help me buy domains for parking

Hello guys, i am a beginner in this topic i.e. domain parking and monetizing.

I was hoping to make some good steady money from parking domains and plan to buy about 50 domains in first phase.

I researched and looked up posts for domain parking in many sites,forums etc before buying the domains.

From the posts,I came to conclusion that I should buy domains with high monthly searches(using keywordplanner.adwords),, as the type in traffic is 0.01% of total monthly searches.

For eg: I bought a domain(exact match .com) which has 50000 monthly searches(exact), then in my domain i will get 50000*0.01=500 traffic(unique visitors) per month.

Does this strategy work in domain parking?? Btw should I consider adwords CPC rate as well while choosing domains??

Parking is all but dead.

Unless you have some killer domains, earnings are minuscule.

YEP..parking is a hard job nowadays. I am not saying you won't earn anything but in order to sustain yourself financially you need a ton of names ore extremely good ones..even better, the 2 things combined...
So unless you are ready to invest a ship load of money I would reconsider your decision...

i would not agree about parking is dead.
I recently started parking domains and its not bad for me.
I would suggest you to not buy handregs, rather buy expired domains with good backlinks. Domains with good quality backlinks will bring visitors for sure and some might click ads too.
Buy domains which are from money making sectors. Loan, Insurance, Old Stuff buy/sell, medicine, education, Law, Property etc. Research a bit more on which sectors will be helpful for you.
Choosing a parking company is also important.
My recommendation would be ParkingCrew and DomainSponser

Parking domains is skill which will get develop eventually, You need atleast 100 to 200 good domains to make $100-$200 per month.
Use Godaddy Coupons if u are buying expired deleted Domains. You can also buy domains from Auctions.

as others said it, Google killed it around 2007. It was nice while it lasted, all my domains were paying for themselves and then some.

This sounds like a lot of hard work for little money. Personally I much rather focus on building a portfolio with names that attract end user offers.

Yeah, u are right there is no easy money.....But at the same time i agree with dv82 because i started building my Domain portfolio(Brandable) 2 year back and the ROI is nice..sold 4 Domains to endusers in 1800 Dollar range...its a lot better than parking..

Yes absolutely, i agree with your way of thinking.
But i just answered about parking.
I never talked about selling domains.
I do both simultaneously.
Selling domains has not happened for me yet, never opened the option until december 2013.
But yes i am totally 100% in agreement with you.

Why would anyone in their right mind give you a domain name that would make money parking instead of buying it for themselves? Dude there are no free lunches
