Domains Monthly Search Volume

How big of a role should monthly search volume play in choosing to develop a domain? What are good ranges of monthly search volume? Ive come across a domain with almost 600,000 monthly searches and im trying to find out if it is worth developing. Ive never really researched domains before developing but looking at my top earning domains, the highest gets about 450,000 monthly searches. Any ideas?

well if only 10 % reached your developed site .........sounds good , i think everyone would have a different opinion on this figure , i would be happy to get that on my sites
