Hello,

I am revamping my business, we do Logo design for company, I am wondering would it be a good idea to have a company twitter account? Also, what would I post on there? It would seem if I created one that I would have not much to say and wouldn't have many people follow me.

Thanks,

You could post tips on choosing and designing logo's, art program tips, etc... be sure to throw some advertising for your own site in there as well....

Tip: Make sure to customize your twitter page and add a photo instead of the default one. This will help you gain followers.

Don't forget using Facebook as well.

The more you can communicate with clients the better.

yes, why not to promote your web design logo's on twitter and facebook. You can post like cheap webdesign logs etc...

I have a twitter for my company and a personal one. For my Twitter account I place all kinds of stuff on it. Everything from "hey I hope everyone has a nice day" to sales I might be having at that time, to links to my articles online (especially if they are TO my sites lol), services I offer, etc.

I dont talk on mine much, but I have a few hundred people that follow me and more that get added everyday by requesting me.

I suggest making your twitter account as business-y as you can. For mine, I use my main logo as my bground and I use my other logo as my "avatar". You should also try to use your business name for your url. For example, mine is /kristiambrose

You can post the list of services that your company does on Twitter. You might get referrals from this when people read your Tweets.

You're right. People who want to design their own logo aren't going to be your customers. Logos are a branding issue and you should talk about every aspect of good branding and where you are confident give tips on every aspect of good branding except the actual mechanics of designing the logo ... that's what people are going to pay you to do.

You can also talk about your business. If you've just had a big commission, talk about that. If a logo you designed is being used in a nationwide advertising campaign talk about how good it feels to see your work in magazines or up on billboards.

I would suggest have twitter as one of your channels to keep in touch with customers.
- you can offer any new plans or special discounts your company is offering.
- new products
- tips
- any awards you receive
- any news from your industry
