Domain parking.

Sedo or namedrive? Or other? (be polite)

Please keep in mind I'm a newbie with only 20 newly original reg'd domains with barely any traffic and no pointers. Majority are for sale, keeping a couple for development later.

Thanks,
Rob........

NameDrive, what little traffic you do get, NameDrive shows the search terms users are looking for so if you plan to develop the domain its nice to see just what there doing.

Sedo is terrible.

Thank you

SEDO would be fine for you.

I think they're both very good.

Sedo is very simply to use and you maybe to get a few offers and sales by having them on there. I have not used NameDrive before.

If majority are for sale with little traffic, Sedo would make more sense.

There are quite a few threads on this subject already =0)

But, especially for someone new to domains, you can't beat Namedrive I don't think. Adding a domain, viewing your stats, changing settings ... it's all so easy. Plus as you'll read if you research other threads, ND seems to both show more clicks and pay more (for most domains).

And even if they are for sale, you'll soon realise that they won't sell very quickly (unless they are great), so in the meantime you might as well leave them for sale at Sedo while earning some revenue at ND.

Does NameDrive all people to make offers on the domains kinda like Sedo?

I would suggest SEDO.

Namedrive is in my opinion a better PPC company but, SEDO
is build to sell domains and actually has a PPC program.
(thats how i see them)

A domain has a slightly higher chanse of being sold at SEDO
if traffic stats are avail there... as such i would suggest SEDO.

( please do keep in mind... if you really want to earn from parking you should
try and test each domain at each program for a time to see where you get the
best results )

good luck,

Faisj

Sedo!

Get them indexed by Google, should get at least 20 search engine traffic per month per domain.

The way Google indexes Sedo's parking pages is terrible D-: for the most part IMO - If you check them you will probably find many are just indexed like www.thenamehere.com with NO TITLES - NO DESCRIPTION - NO KEYWORDS = appalling and basically a waste of time !!! - They will also drop them all together very soon after if they don't manage to index the keywords.

I am trying to get sedo to sort this out - MSN is good sometimes but many of my domains just show a sedo portal !!! How are you supposed to gets clicks like that ??? - In short - You won't :td:

Sorry - Rant over :) Sedo appear to have the most "reported" sales at DNJournal on a regular basis so probably better for selling.

Namedrive obviously is a better paying parking site than Sedo. No proof yet as to whether they do more sales ??

Maybe on that one but did you notice more than half your PPC ads have also dissapeared ? :td: And they are showing irrelevant ads - care to explain that ? This should not be IMO and basically it makes your search engine traffic worthless. :td: how many people are going to click irrelevant links ?

BUT - If you type your domain in to the address bar you will see the ads you chose by selecting the Keywords.

I have loads of domains that do not get indexed properly by Google & MSN - I am talking about sedo's parking pages.

There is a problem with sedo's parking page IMO

Sorry to sidetrack your thread Clueless but this "may" be why everyone has noticed that namedrive is far better for PPC revenue. So it is kinda relevant :guilty:

What do you mean by "more than half your PPC ads have also dissapeared"? Is it the case in the Google UK's cache or when you visit my domain? I see all the ads without any probelm... Maybe this is a geographical thing.

?? It could be

On that link you posted - If I click any one of those results - it only shows me two PPC adds and they are both about MSN ??

If I type you domain name directly into the address bar and then go - I see all your ads with the keyword that you have chose.

What I am trying to say is - If your sedo parking page does not get indexed properly and it is not showing the correct PPC ads relevant to the domain then you are not very likely to make any money on clicks generated through the search engines, and neither will sedo !

I have sent them numerous examples of my domains for them to check it out - I will get in contact with them in 2 weeks time to see if they have sorted it out or can at least explain why this is happening.

If they think they are - They know that I know :)

I don't know and don't presume that this is deliberate - but if it does'nt improve soon I will have to think about parking elsewhere.

Casinoshark is showing the right PPC links as far as I can see, this does not happen on all domains but out of my 150 I rekon about 70 or so do not get indexed properly by Google or MSN or show my chosen keywords/PPC ads

The right ads because the super long keyword contains "casino". However the keyword is crap, so if a person clicks on it, the PPC is crap.
