Has anyone had success in winning a name from namejet or any other back order market for low and selling it for high price? After wining a domain which is the best place to sell my domain? Sedo, Flippa ?

Hi Syed,

I'm new to buying and selling domains but can share my experience thus far. Currently all of the domains I'd like to sell are listed on Sedo. I listed them about a month ago and parked them with Sedo as well. In the first 3 weeks I had roughly 10 total visitors with no offer views. They were all listed at fixed, very reasonable prices. I figured if it wasn't working I needed to change something, so about a week ago I changed them all to 'Make offer' with no set price. Since making the change I've seen a considerable increase in page and offer views... and today I received my first inquiry via email regarding one of my domains.

I've also sold a handful of domains on Flippa but think I could have got more from them if they hadn't gone to auction. For me, Flippa is good when I want to just get rid of a domain, or if I get a wild hair up my ass and just want the excitement of having a domain on auction (one of my lower valued assets). My domains listed so far are mostly hand-registered, two-word combos.

Good luck to us!

I'm Gonna Try Your Advice on Sedo for 1 month BHawk91

Good post. I wasted $180 on Flippa- not one bid, so congrats for your sale. I've now changed my 50 listings on Sedo to Make me an Offer (No set price) as a result of your post. I'll give it a month. If nothing of any consequence, I'll go back to listing things on SEDO as Buy it now with 25% of their suggested price, with minimum of $200-$250 for me and a Max of $800-$1000. I think Godaddy and Ebay are complete wastes of time as these people don't want to spend anything! Appreciate your post!

Am I correct in reading the Sedo minimum commission is $200, seems very expensive and therefore means I have to sell above $200 to get a penny.

Is this correct? What If I sold for $150?

Thanks
Mat

Urgh. Where'd you get that figure? Far as I know, minimum commission is $50. Could that be for premium listings? Minimum for auctions listing is $50.

I read those, so for .com and .co.Uk it's $200 which seems a bit steep.

.COMs are Category 1 TLDs which puts them in the $50 minimum commission tier.

.CO.UK is the same $50 at.UK
