I am sure you have all heard of a conspiracy theorist, a term coined way back in the 60's, but this community is massive, in fact huge. Sites like infowars and breitbart and all other alternate media sites are raking in millions. I don't believe conspiracies have been this popular ever. So I heard a comment from a well respected guest on the Alex jones channel and he said, actually, we are not conspiracy theorists we are 'conspiracy analysts'. It suddenly dawned on me that this term, in actual fact, is the perfect opposite to a theorist and has immense potential if the domain was available, and it was.

ConspiracyAnalysts.com

In the past 24 hours I have had a $600 and a £750 offer for it. I can absolutely see the value in it, but where should I pitch it. How much would it cost me to develop it properly? I really do fancy getting a website up on it in all honesty, but what would be a ceiling for the domain name only?

Advice is most welcome, thanks.

Good spot mate....

Alex Jones has a massive following so I wouldn't be surprised if the 2 offers you received are from his fans.

As far as the ceiling goes... I guess it would really be difficult to tell, anything is possible. Would be surprised if it sold for more than $2000 - BUT like I said anything is possible :)

Cost of developing is going to vary drastically, you could get guys who will do the basic layout and design for $100 - $150 even... I generally charge my clients a minimum of around $599 for development.

I'm thinking a video sharing website would be the best way to develop it, rather than just a static page, get the community involved. I think developed it would be worth substantially more.

I think in terms of long term potential developing is certainly the way to go...

Seems $1.5k to $2k is about its mark then, I'll need to do a little research in to just how many conspiracy people are out there, early indications are that its quite a lot,I see hundreds of youtube videos on everything from 9/11, sandyhook, chemtrails etc etc etc

those people do have a lot of time
but do they have money
to pay for a domain?

If this is a hand-reg and you received an offer straight away, I would sell it. Push for 1K but these guys wont be paying too much more than that for it

I think hand reg is not an issue here, as I think this term will likely gain a lot of popularity over the coming months. The conspiracy theorists will say, analysts and the term will grow. I could take a handsome profit now, but think anything over $2k will sorely tempt me.

In your opinion the domain has " immense potential " so my first reaction is " go for it " via development.

Will you again have a domain so readily available that you believe has such website potential?

Should you instead choose to sell the domain name believe the parameters of value have been well stated above.

Overall a nice well thought out purchase with several options.

A good question WatchDogue. I am definitely going to go down the developer option, Ill be checking back in later to post an advert in the developer section.

I would have taken the £750 offer for this name. As others have said, you might get $1.5-2K for it some day.

If you sell it for £750, you can take that money and buy 5 new names of much higher quality, which you can sell for $2K each.

is the goal of a "conspiracy analysts" to prove or disprove the alleged conspiracy.....or to further perpetrate it?

imo....

Two separate offers for a newly regged domain around the same figure.

I have a feeling it could be a scam and you'll be asked to pay for an appraisal before the sale is complete.
