Hello guys ,

I now have an offer to place an domain at greatdomains, now is my quistien ,who has ever sold there ?

Dear Arno,

Thank you for your request to list kim.cc for sale at GreatDomains. We are interested in listing the domain, provided we can agree on a list price and reserve price. The list price is the price that will be shown on the site and the reserve price is an unpublished price that GreatDomains is allowed to accept for the domain. We cannot accept an offer lower than the reserve price without your consent.

There is no charge to list the domain. If you agree to list, we will send our standard Premium Listing and Right to Transfer Agreement to the administrative email address on file in the who-is record, which you are required to sign and return via fax.

At the time of sale, GreatDomains will charge a transaction fee that is 10% of the total sale price (minimum $500), which will be deducted from the sales price prior to disbursement. GreatDomains will handle the entire escrow process and assist with the domain name transfer.

We suggest a list price of $5,000 and a reserve price of $2,500 for kim.cc. This invitation will only be valid for a 30 (thirty) day period. The agreement listing term is for 6 months.

Please let us know if you would like to proceed under these terms or if you have any questions.

If these prices are accepted, you can expect the Premium Listing and Right to Transfer Agreement to be emailed within 2 business days. The Agreement will be sent to the administrative email address on file in the who-is record.

Best regards,

Great Domains

Sales occur, but are few and far beteween -- most are .com generics selling at a premium to end users. You can certainly list there, but don't expect a sale unless you get lucky. Cheers

Have bot but never sold there. Those guys don't really have a clue, and their ideas of value are way off and influenced by what they have an interest in, such as in some .tv garbage names. You did want opinions on them right? ;)

$750 for kim.cc is a good price. You don't need great domains to take a commission for that sale

I have probably answered this question ten times now on Namepros. Here are the facts:

Numbers of domains I have had listed on www.GreatDomains.com: 28 (maybe 30)

Number of domains sold: 0, Zero, Nada, Ziltch

Numbers of offers received: 0, Zero, Nada, Ziltch

However, I am realistic. You have to be too. The prices being asked for most domains are way overpriced. You are getting free advertising for your name.

Lastly, "if" I, or, anyone else ever did sell a name there, it would be pretty nice. I used to get real excited when I got the first couple of names listed. I thought to myself "pretty soon I will sell a name for $5,000 plus!!". Now, it is no big deal to get listed at www.GreatDomains.com for me. It generates about the same excitement as listing a domain name in Namepros "appraisal" section. I look, hoping for good appraisals, but then quit looking after a while, finding out my name is not that great! Ha!

even if it is not sold, you should get some traffic from it.

Just list, it does not make any hurt/damage to your domain do it? Good luck, arnoldje.

I'd list it there (unless you need the $750 immediately).
Even if they take their $500 commission out of the suggested minimum of $2500, you'd be making more than the $750 ($1250 more) you want to get for it now. If you have the time, i'd go for the gamble and in between you listing the domain and (probably) not selling it ;) you'd get free exposure and traffic, which should make parking the domain interesting.
Once the time frame where you listed the domain for sale has passed you have:
a, generated some money - gained exposure and had traffic
b, not lost anything
c, kept the off chance that you may get lucky and sell it for up to the suggested $5000.

Somehow, this looks like a pretty good situation for you. :imho:

HI

I have never listed a domain with them they rejected all the domains I email them about.

But they did have a domain I would have bought if I had the money at the time and that was Robots.com for $40k

Thanks

I was approved for a domain, listing at $8000, but after recieving the email with the contract and being forced to fax it back, I decided not to bother. I don't have access to a fax machine and I don't feel like going through a bunch of hassle to do it. This is the Internet the last I checked... Electronic contracts are legally binding...

It is free service to list your domains there so it is no reason to refuse to be listed in GD. If you can not sell any names, you still get your name for marketing points. I have more than 10 domains listed in GD and some of them with value over $30000. I do not care if I can sell any names there but I am sure that there are many visitors (domain buyers will see my domains there)
