Got some valuable domains - Is just putting on Sedo enough?

I've got a few good domains, but should i just put them on sedo and see what happens or shall i contact some possible buyers also?

Or is it best just to go direct and contact potential purchasers without sedo?

What i'm worried about is that ETHER auctioning them on sedo wont sell for there max value, just contacting some people direct wont get many people interested OR both contacting and sedo will not get their value ether.

What should i do? What would you do?

Also, i want to sell ASAP.

Thanks.

How do you know you have good domains? :) That's my first question.

The second is what are the domains worth and how did you determine that? If you are not really sure, use Estibot.com to do a quick check. Selling prices more than 10%-30% of the Estibot appraisal may be unrealistic unless you get lucky. Your actual selling price may be lower... :(

If you have something worth selling and have a good idea what the market price will be, then you can list them at SEDO, NamePros, and other places. Most sites will let you list your domain for sale, but also allow you to list it at other plraces as well. So you can also try to find a buyer yourself.

Set your reserve or starting price to be the lowest you will sell the domain for, your BIN your dream price, and then wait for a buyer.

But if you want to sell ASAP, then you may need to lower your price.

Even if they are valuable domains that you think they are you will have to tell people that they are there otherwise you will just end up getting resellers bidding on it and it will go nowhere near the price it could reach.

Tell everyone far and wide wherever you can about your domains being auctioned because 99% of the time end users are not even looking at an auction site because they had a weird feeling their perfect domain would be on there that day.

If people do not know that you are selling your phenomenal domains how can they possibly bid on them?

If I have gold.com just as an example, you can damn well be sure that I would be firing off emails, letters and phone calls to every jeweler and smelter I can find...as well as getting an advert in the trade press but this is only viable if you have a name that transcends the rest of the 99.9999% out there.
