I got an offer for my WordPress domain: WP Bay (dot) com - the offer was $75. I told him that I might sell the domain, but I believe it's worth a lot more. He replied that the max he can offer is $150.

Should I take this offer? Do you think WP (WordPress) domains might be more valuable in future? There are some big WordPress sites like e.g. WP hosting company WPEngine.com or WPHub.com.

What would you do?

wphub sold for $3500 back in 2011, wpshop for $3100.

Are you hurting for money? Are you making any income off the site currently?

I'll break from the others and say if you're not in a hurry to sell, hold out for at least $500.

Thank you very much for your advice. I'm not making any income off the site.

OK, so I will not sell it for $150 and will wait for a higher offer.

However, the problem with most of my domains is that I developed many of them and I also did some SEO (link building) for them and because of this most of my domains were penalized by the Google Panda or Penguin updates. And when I'm selling a domain I want to be honest with the buyer. I got an offer for my other domain 2 years ago, but when I told them that it was penalized by Google I never heard back from them.

But nowadays there is the Google Disavow tool that you can use to remove spammy backlinks, but I'm not sure if it works 100% always.
