Google shows 1000 000 global monthly searches for my new domain name

Hi, there are newbies, then there are newerbies, and then you will find me. This is pretty much my first post so if it’s somehow in the incorrect section, or forum. I do apologise. This is my question.

I own a domain name, that according to “Google keyword tools” gets 1000 000 global monthly searches I kid you not. However, it has a dash “ – “ in the name. I did type the name with the dash into the Google Keyword tool, and it still shows 1000 000 Global monthly searches. Do you think, that this domain could actually be worth anything? or would the – bring the value down a bit?

You're more than likely searching with "broad" checked off in the left-hand column. In order to gain an accurate assessment of the keyword strength, its recommended that you deselect "broad" and select "exact". If you'd like, send me the name and I can help you out.

Okay, thanks so now you busted my bubble... Lol, it’s good to know though. I just checked again with exact match, and it now shows 6600 Global searches.. Thanks for that. So, is 6600 a bad number?

Not at all, what's the niche and CPC?

Even with a hyphen, if this is in the .com namespace and has decent Cost Per Click, it could be very valuable, especially for SEO enthusiasts.

Thanks for the response.

it's a .com (you almost sound like you are giving me some good news)
I will try the Appraisal section a little later. Cost per click, and niche I am not 100% sure about, Probably advertising, marketing even shopping sites should be able to use this domain effectively, I can imagine this becoming a AdSense type service, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself, I will probably just Auction it off if it’s really worth anything. lol
