In the meta tags of your site, did you actually put tax2008.co.uk?

Also, if its a newer site, it will take google a few days to a few months to get to your site :) If you had forums up, though, itd be a different story, as google bots are built in.

Do your search like this:

site:tax2008.co.uk

To see if it's indexed.

You can also try searching for it in quotes:

"tax2008.co.uk"

But if it's parked, don't get your hopes up. Parked domains are falling out of Google Search a mile a minute these days.

I've gotten a bit superstitious about google and parking. I've been told it doesn't matter, but my ex-parked names don't seem to get indexed as quick as my straight-to-development ones??
Any truth to this paranoia?
What are people's 1,2,3 steps to efficiently getting a site up and running for google attention? (I find if I add a RSS feed, the regular updates help wake the google giant a bit sooner.)

Put it in your sig

Put it in your Namepros sig for at least one week. It might help get it indexed. Google needs to see some links to know the site exists.

Build good back links. This can be done is a number ways such as :

Social Bookmarking
Using Web 2.0 sites
Article submissions (with your links embedded) to:
- Article directories
- On-Theme sites
Blog commenting
and a variety of other ways.

If you only have a few sites then you can do this quite easily, but if you have a larger quantity of sites then the amount of work involved naturally increases. You will need to find ways to streamline the process. At a cost (which varies) certain services are available which can help you do this.

Well this does not necessarily index your site faster, but regular updates tend to keep searchbots coming back to index your site further.
