@GoDaddy

what the heck is this bug when I log in from the Godaddy index page and why you cannot resolve it after having reported it about a week ago here?

header-godaddy.png

What kind of weird, ancient, backward oriented, legacy limit is it to have an http header limit of 10.2kb for your own pages?

What is wrong with your IT team? Can't you afford a 5 figure budget to invite outside consultants to a) audit your systems, sites etc. b) set up QA/QC systems; c) fix the outstanding issues?

On GoDaddy auctions when I click on "Account Settings" this message is showing up: https://account.{{root_domain}}/ "this site can't be reached" ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

When I click on "My products" this is showing up https://account.{{root_domain}}/products . Why is that?
@GoDaddy Would you be kind enough to answer me? I made the post on 18 September and you have not answered to me yet, although it is a very serious issue. I thought that if I logged in godaddyauctions.com from incognito mode that this problem would be solved but I was wrong.

It's unbelievable. GoDaddy has discovered yet another opportunity to charge extra. This time, for setting up DNSSEC on your domains. If your limited free DNSSEC credits run out, you will need to purchase their Premium DNS product. Meanwhile, other registrars include DNSSEC as a standard feature at no additional charge.

And GoDaddy is still not even able to technically correctly configure their own name servers for customers (lame delegation issues).

It won't matter anything we suggest ever, because for like the 500 investors that actually see what's going on there are 10M+ users that just blindly use Godaddy and that's where their money is.

They have positioned themselves via marketing (radio ads, television ads, even Superbowl) to the effect of there is no voice beyond their own.

It's like throwing up at a party and making it cool and people will even pay for a spoonful of barf.

It would be nice if GoDaddy's bulk search worked reliably or at least more often than not. When working, it is a useful feature. I am no longer buying the "you are not our target market" argument from a company with GoDaddy Domain Academy, premier services for large accounts, substantial resale/aftermarket operations, and the general benefit that comes from volume customers.

@GoDaddy

Edit to add details: I am trying to complete about a dozen bulk searches. I started last night and got nowhere. This morning I've been trying, waiting, trying and have completed five searches so far.

We couldn't perform your search. Try again later.

DomainEasy Launches an Ambitious Platform That Offers a New Option for Fans of Departing DAN.com

With GoDaddy acquiring innovative domain sales platform DAN.com and merging it into their own Afternic.com, buyers and sellers saw one of their favorite venues go away, however new options are already starting to surface. One of the most promising among those, DomainEasy.com, has just launched. Founded by industry veteran Sam Dennis, DomainEasy will draw immediate attention with their 0% commission rate for sellers but that is just part of a comprehensive suite of features and services the start-up is offering.

Not seeing anywhere to add payment info

Maybe you got the famous "Godaddy Singapore Treatment"? Check your geo setting at the bottom of GD page.
Yeah, I realized if you are on GoDaddy Singapore, you get taxed & marked up domains... Why does it randomly get set to Singapore?

Hereโ€™s what I see at the bottom of the newer, taxed purchase. None of those tax lines appear in older purchases.

Did you get an official answer for this? I assume it is the Singapore issue, I am not in Singapore, digital products are not subject to sales tax here.

Nope. And the tax amount is sometimes pretty ridiculous.

You can probably relax a little on these notifications...

Also the changes you have made to auctions stink. I have to decrease the size of the page to even see the end time of auctions now. And if my mouse goes too far to the left, the clunky side menu comes out and blocks the first part of the domain names in the list.
Hi @Bearded Goat
Thanks for your feedback on this - we've implemented a new sticky domains column, allowing you to navigate the columns without any restrictions.

I have no idea what that means. I have attached what I see with my godaddy auction page at full size. Please note the time left column is not visible.

And when my mouse wanders to the left the side menu comes out and blocks the domain names. The add to watchlist is on the left of the page so this happens repeatedly while searching. Also the search box is aligned left. So the side menu comes out and blocks that too

Happy to clarify. You can now scroll data columns, allowing you to see important information, such as the time left on an auction, while the domain name column remains in place:

As for the menu, this is easily controllable. We're happy to chat via DM about other aspects of your experience!

I may be the only one. But this scrolling sideways like you have shown in the first video make both godaddy and afternic less usable. It is not a good design and doesn't make for quick use. I will just shrink my page so I can see what I need to see. Same with the clunky side window that pops out over everything. I know how to close it. It just slows me down and makes me curse.

Why does godaddy have all the money yet canโ€™t get it right? Exampleโ€ฆ

Letโ€™s jump thru GD hoops to make sure the commission rate is low. Add domain to sales platform with BIN and select Afternic DNS for the best rate.

Meanwhile, the damn page directs to anything but the asking price or a button to buy it immediately.

Good lord.

They're in perpetual beta test mode and the users are the free/unpaid testers.

If you, like me, are crazy enough to sometimes use GoDaddy as a registrar beware of their occasional delays in completing registrations. I registered 12 names and went to administer them a few minutes later. All 12 were shown as pending registration by GoDaddy. During the delay 2 of the 12 were registered by others. If you catch this and contact support they are likely to tell you that there is no risk because the names are held at the registry level and cannot be registered by others. This is entirely false.

Please share. It was fine as it was; this sliding window is incredibly annoying.
