Thread is for reviews of GoDaddy

I stopped using GD Auctions months ago when the Closeout newsletter was launched. One of the first issues included domains from my watchlist and they were gone in a flash. There's no point in digging for opals by hand underground if the industrial group comes with an excavator during the breaks.@GoDaddy
Today Godaddy has made another ill-thought decision. The legacy auction watchlist is gone and instead I have to use the beta with deprecated functionality.
Hi @MollyHi @GoDaddy . Did something change with the taxes you now charge? I paid none for a domain a week ago, but over $3 today! What is this new tax?
Thanks, @Future Sensors. I had compared both and there are clear differences. Iโm not on a device that will let me take a screenshot of a screenshot, but if you compare the two receipts, itโs clear. Both are $40 closeout domains.Hi @Molly
On each receipt, there is a dedicated section that details the applicable taxes. Could you check and compare it with previous receipts to identify any changes?

They charge me differently depending on whether I pay through PayPal or card or through the app...
Hereโs what I see at the bottom of the newer, taxed purchase. None of those tax lines appear in older purchases.

Hi @Recons.Com@GoDaddy
Today Godaddy has made another ill-thought decision. The legacy auction watchlist is gone and instead I have to use the beta with deprecated functionality.
My watchlist had around 1200 names in it. The beta shows 500 max. It also won't show me names with more than 2 hours left to ending.
I have been spending 15000$-20000 a month there, but I guess Godaddy doesn't want the money. I am not wasting my time looking for work-arounds.
With the latest "changes", Godaddy is just plain sending the message that it will keep becoming less friendly to investors as demonstrated by a) buying and liquidating Uni, Dan both of which were technically superior to GD/Afternic and offered better commission, better control panel, better innovation, bug-free experience, self-control of negotiations and access to own data; b) introducing and pushing through with highly unpopular boost, which also introduces dubious ethics like misleading the buyers with the "verified" badge (not showing it for verified but non-boosted names and showing it for non-verified, but boosted names); c) not dealing with old bugs, introducing regularly new ones or letting some of the "resolved" bugs to reemerge on a regular basis.
Unfortunately, my plan of streamlining my business around Godaddy/Afternic has too much exposure to all these antiques and forces me to reconsider my options.
Unless I see a considerable change within few weeks, I will start moving away my portfolio of 38000 and growing .coms from Godaddy and also stop using Afternic landers. I will also spend my investment budget of $200k+/year elsewhere.

Hi @jiy kWhen I search my exact domain name with ext (with Afternic Custom lander- Bin+LTO+MO) in Godaddy reg path it shows only Bin & LTO minus MO. Why is that so?
Thank you for your response.Hi @jiy k
We want to present potential buyers with a clear way to immediately purchase your domain, and a Make Offer button alongside the BIN would dilute the impact of your Buy it Now price in the registrar pathway. So, we only show a Make Offer option if the Afternic-listed domain doesn't include a Buy it Now price.
Hi @Recons.Com
Thanks for your feedback on the new Watchlist design. We'll share it with the team to see what we can do to adjust what you see. In the meantime, the filters should help you to narrow down your view and take action on those names you need to - including domains with just a couple of hours left to run
