Another auction win refunded at @GoDaddy ๐Ÿคฌ. How can this still be happening? Don't auction the name unless it can be won ffs.

So everyday now I get the site can't be reached when trying to access my domains. I feel like the house is falling apart. Someone needs a repair man fast before catastrophic failure.

Checkout not working at all, so cannot renew names or purchase anything.

Just got an email that an order was successful, so it took about an hour to process. The godaddy status page does say issue with processing. Hope it is fixed soon.

On GoDaddy auctions when I click on "Account Settings" this message is showing up: https://account.{{root_domain}}/ "this site can't be reached" ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

When I click on "My products" this is showing up https://account.{{root_domain}}/products . Why is that?

@GoDaddy ฮ‘lso there is no way to contact you via chat (regarding another issue) because it does not show up anywhere...and I thought this issue was solved months ago..

P.S. after 10+ minutes I was finally able to chat

@GoDaddy

Today Godaddy has made another ill-thought decision. The legacy auction watchlist is gone and instead I have to use the beta with deprecated functionality.

My watchlist had around 1200 names in it. The beta shows 500 max. It also won't show me names with more than 2 hours left to ending.

I have been spending 15000$-20000 a month there, but I guess Godaddy doesn't want the money. I am not wasting my time looking for work-arounds.

With the latest "changes", Godaddy is just plain sending the message that it will keep becoming less friendly to investors as demonstrated by a) buying and liquidating Uni, Dan both of which were technically superior to GD/Afternic and offered better commission, better control panel, better innovation, bug-free experience, self-control of negotiations and access to own data; b) introducing and pushing through with highly unpopular boost, which also introduces dubious ethics like misleading the buyers with the "verified" badge (not showing it for verified but non-boosted names and showing it for non-verified, but boosted names); c) not dealing with old bugs, introducing regularly new ones or letting some of the "resolved" bugs to reemerge on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, my plan of streamlining my business around Godaddy/Afternic has too much exposure to all these antiques and forces me to reconsider my options.

Unless I see a considerable change within few weeks, I will start moving away my portfolio of 38000 and growing .coms from Godaddy and also stop using Afternic landers. I will also spend my investment budget of $200k+/year elsewhere.

I stopped using GD Auctions months ago when the Closeout newsletter was launched. One of the first issues included domains from my watchlist and they were gone in a flash. There's no point in digging for opals by hand underground if the industrial group comes with an excavator during the breaks.

Today I wanted to call up my saved search results. I couldn't find them. A few days ago, after a laborious search, I found them so that I could enter them in the alerts. That may be me, but the former view and navigation of GD Expired Auctions used to be more useful.

Welcome aboard the Titanic, the largest and safest ship in the world.

here is me trying to login into Godaddy:

It is unbelievable that a company that is worth billions, sells hosting to millions, cannot figure out how to create redundancy for its own services, payment gateways, not to get timeouts, some ridiculous constraints from about 25 years ago still surviving in their system.

Hi @GoDaddy . Did something change with the taxes you now charge? I paid none for a domain a week ago, but over $3 today! What is this new tax?

Hi @Molly

On each receipt, there is a dedicated section that details the applicable taxes. Could you check and compare it with previous receipts to identify any changes?

https://account.godaddy.com/receipts
Thanks, @Future Sensors. I had compared both and there are clear differences. Iโ€™m not on a device that will let me take a screenshot of a screenshot, but if you compare the two receipts, itโ€™s clear. Both are $40 closeout domains.

Hereโ€™s what I see at the bottom of the newer, taxed purchase. None of those tax lines appear in older purchases.

They charge me differently depending on whether I pay through PayPal or card or through the app or on the website. Think they make it up as they go along. I've queried their taxes before with no real answer.

Maybe you got the famous "Godaddy Singapore Treatment"? Check your geo setting at the bottom of GD page.

When I search my exact domain name with ext (with Afternic Custom lander- Bin+LTO+MO) in Godaddy reg path it shows only Bin & LTO minus MO. Why is that so?

Hi @Recons.Com
Thanks for your feedback on the new Watchlist design. We'll share it with the team to see what we can do to adjust what you see. In the meantime, the filters should help you to narrow down your view and take action on those names you need to - including domains with just a couple of hours left to run.

Hi @Molly
It's something that we recommend connecting with GoDaddy support on directly through https://www.godaddy.com/help/contact-us

Hi @jiy k
We want to present potential buyers with a clear way to immediately purchase your domain, and a Make Offer button alongside the BIN would dilute the impact of your Buy it Now price in the registrar pathway. So, we only show a Make Offer option if the Afternic-listed domain doesn't include a Buy it Now price.

Filters did nothing. I disected in many ways and nothing worked. During the live hours of the auctions it simply wouldn't show anything outside 2 hour max window. So if a name went from 50 closeout to 40 and had now 23:59 to end, I couldn't see it any longer.
