Your description of the internal disorganization at GoDaddy aligns closely with what a GoDaddy representative recently shared with a forum member, expressing similar frustrations:

Hi @Future Sensors . You misunderstood my post. The first part was about the rep being apologetic and frustrated. Everything else was my opinion on the situation and my frustration from what's happening at Godaddy and Afternic. I now realize that I should have separated it to two paragraphs or made clear that what I was writing after the beginning wasn't what the rep said because clearly it confused you.

GoDaddy's Bulk Search is failing at the moment for me.
The Bulk Search feature is primarily utilized by domain investors, a segment that is not a key focus for GoDaddy.

As a result, addressing issues with this feature wonโ€™t be a priority for GoDaddy.

I apologize if this isnโ€™t the answer you were looking for.

I appreciate you clarifying that some of these wordings were yours and not everything was said verbatim by the representative.

However, I still believe it was a pretty accurate description of the current discussions weโ€™re seeing in every thread about GoDaddy and Afternic right now.

Thanks for the clarification.

Basic search doesn't work that well either! That one is primarily used by end users, small and medium business types, a segment that is supposed to be a key focus for GoDaddy.

As a result of bad tech and internal inability to address bugs, this feature also won't be a priority for GoDaddy.

I apologize if this isn't the answer you were looking for. I'm busy removing badges to reduce sales.

Hi guys and @GoDaddy. Can someone just confirm for me โ€” itโ€™s not possible to bulk edit dns txt records on GD domains, correct? Thanks.

You could do this by applying a DNS template to your domains. Setting one up can be done here, and there's a guide here.

Are there any plans to simplify this process further? For instance, could we bulk input multiple domains into a text field and then perform a joint operation on them, such as adding TXT records? This will save time when doing marketplace verifications.

Today a very worrisome thing happened.

I got an email from Godaddy that a domain is removed. Normally, I get plenty of those for non-renewed or sold names. And I don't even check all of them.

But this one, I did check and was surprised as I did not get a sold email and did not seem like a name I'd drop. So I checked and apparently I got it only on April 12, 2024, so couldn't have expired.

I contacted the support and talked to Chris. He is investigating it, and I got disconnected during the call and waiting for a call back.

Not sure what the explanation is going to be, but regardless, it is an unacceptable situation. I have a huge portfolio worth a good fortune with this company and can't be watching over my shoulder for domains disappearing, bad communication etc. I will need to do a major audit of my names to see what else might be missing.

I've had nothing but great experiences with GoDaddy in nearly 10 years of domaining.
Even difficult issues have usually been resolved within 2 or 3 days.

My major gripe with GoDaddy is their lack of focus.
They want to be everything to everybody while being a corporate domain investor competing with a key segment of their clientele.

I think they should sell all of their Namefind domains over the next two years. Focus on providing the best customer service and improving their Afternic offering.

GD has the highest renewal prices in the industry; I almost always transfer domains away.
No, I'm not interested in paying for a discount club.

My goal is to buy at the lowest price, sell at the highest, and renew my domains at lowest possible price.

Hi @GoDaddy. I was pretty excited to hear this and got started using it. I created a template with multiple dns txt records and applied it to a few (new) domains. Unfortunately, however, many of these domains are failing verification on sites like AN and @Sedo, and itโ€™s been a few days.

Is it possible thereโ€™s a bug in the way templates work? Or maybe a bug in how theyโ€™re being read? Itโ€™s not necessarily the same domains failing across all platforms; thereโ€™s not consistency. Thanks.

Itโ€™s worth copying @Atom as one of these domain wonโ€™t auth there. Note that by and large, I havenโ€™t seen this with these sites when adding txt records manually.

When downloading my names as CSV (selecting all columns), there are alot of names that show Privacy OFF.
When I look at them in my GD Domain Manager, they sometimes say "Limited", but after refreshing a few times, they change to Privacy ON. What is going on with the Privacy Switch? All of my names that allow Privacy should have Privacy Turned ON (not limited and not Off).

So that lasted 40 minutes. I was not able to see any of my domains. I have never once experienced this at name.com, dynadot, namecheap etc.

Also the changes you have made to auctions stink. I have to decrease the size of the page to even see the end time of auctions now. And if my mouse goes too far to the left, the clunky side menu comes out and blocks the first part of the domain names in the list.

Hi @Bearded Goat
Thanks for your feedback on Auctions. We'll share it with the Auctions team as they continue to refine a new design.

Hi @GoDaddy. You know what would be really helpful? A way to see which domains a certain DNS Template has been applied to. That is, a list of domains that can be viewed by selecting the template of interest. Thanks.
