GoDaddy - WHERE/how to set the nameservers?

Each time I register a domain @ Godaddy, it automatically parks it on one of their own pages/nameservers, until I change to my own nameservers this way:
manage domains/ unlock the domain in question/ enter my nameservers/lock domain

But can anyone tell me where exactly in my GD account I can 'pre-enter' my own nameservers, so that immediatly when I have registered a name, it will default to my own nameservers, instead of GoDaddy's?

I've looked but I guess I must be overlooking it. :]

Thanks!

Rob

I think that option does not exist, or at least I have never saw it. You have to change it later. It would be much better if you could set your default nameservers instead of having to change it each time you buy a domain.

Yeah you just have to Manually set them but you can do it in bulk from the Manage Domains menu.

Hope the above helps you.

@ stage 2 or 3 of the registration process, under the heading "Registration and Checkout Options," look for the small text and link:

If you're hosting these domains elsewhere, click here to set nameservers.

It's very easy to miss. When GoDaddy revamped their checkout process, I had no idea where it was for a long time myself. I guess it's their way of frustrating customers into using the parking service!

Thanks for the info, guys. Next time I reg a name @ GD I will see if I can indeed set my nameservers as the default ones during check-out, as per your instructions.

OK, I just reg'd some names again @ GD, and indeed, on the 'Registration and Checkout Options' page of the check-out process, you can set your nameservers, there where it states:
2. Select Domain Preferences
If you're hosting these domains elsewhere, enter up to 4 nameservers below.

However, this is not a permanent setting; if you log out, and then back in, then you need to enter them there again.

Thanks again for y'all's help! :)

eNom has the option of setting default nameservers in your account settings. Which is one of the reasons I prefer eNom's interface.

Yeah, but whenever I can reg names at $4.19 or $5.19 each, I gladly switch to GD for a while. :p

Hmm, never noticed that (specifically) for my GD names. Maybe I have spam-filters that are too good?
