I joined 2 expired domains auction on 7/14/2018.
clevair.com won the auction with $ 231 usd
palizzi.com won the auction with $ 47 usd
I received the message 'Time ended' and 'Congratulations! You won the auction.' in both auctions.I tried to pay for the domain names but was not able to reach the domain names on you won page in my account.I left the page quite normally because I received the message time is over and I won the auction. Then I found the domains under the bidding list >"you did not win" section in my account and I realized someone bid after the auction ended. I think this must be the first in world auction history.
In an auction you can't tell a bidder that time ended and he won and he has the winning bid ; and after he left, you can't let another person bid . This would be the most deceptive thing that can be done in an auction.
I saved the screenshot proving that the winning messages I received for the palizzi.com auction but was not able to do the same for the first one clevair.com because I normally did not foresee something can happen like this .
The page was in Turkish. Godaddy auction support said " We were unable to read the screenshot you provided, as it is not in English." Yes I provided the screenshot but they provided the page in Turkish not me.
At the page I provided , it says:
Açık artırma 14.07.2018 21:48 (+03) itibarıyla sona erdi : Auction ended 14.07.2018 21:48 (+03).
Tebrikler! Açık artırmayı kazandınız. : Congratulations! You won the auction.
Kazanan açık artırma teklifi 47 $*USD : Winning bid 47 $*USD
I can't add an attachment to this post,I think because I am a new member so this is the copy of the page.

Unfortunately, you were not the highest bidder of the auctions for these domains. We were unable to read the screenshot you provided, as it is not in English.
Please let us know if you require any additional assistance.

Unfortunately, the auction status page is not an active page (it doesn't check back to the server when the time runs out). You should not wait on the page for auction results. The final word on auction results comes with the email that is sent shortly after auction close.
A Proxy bid would be a better means to ensure that your bidding is successful. Proxy bidding is a method for bidding in an online auction. The way it works is the person who wants to bid on the domain name decides a maximum amount they are willing to pay for it in advance, and lists this amount in the auction bidding of that domain. As other bids are made, the auction holder automatically increases the person's bid by pre-specified increments until their maximum amount is reached. If the bidder is monitoring the auction, at this point they can give up or choose to increase their bid. The reason people do this is so that they don't have to continually monitor an auction to win the domain name.
We hope that your future Auctions endeavors are successful. Please contact us again if we can be of further assistance.

Dear Valued Go Daddy Auctions Customer,
Thank you for following up.
We regret that you feel your rights are being infringed upon. You are welcome to read through our disclaimers in the Go Daddy Auctions member agreement as well as the Terms of Service at .
We have explained to you in full, earnest detail exactly the nature of how the auctions page works. If you are having connectivity issues while you have the auction page loaded during the final countdown of an auction, there is no way for the server to communicate with your browser, and no call-back to the server occurs. This is what causes the discrepancy. Our apologies if this was not made fully clear in the last email. This is not simply a matter of the page not working properly - this issue only arises when there is connectivity problems between your browser and the server.
We have advised you of how this problem occurs, and offered you a way to prevent the issue in the future by utilizing proxy bidding. Our developers have also been made aware of this occurrence and will look into ways that we can make this information more easily accessible by our users. However, with these particular auctions, we cannot rightfully reassign these auction wins away from other parties who made legitimate bids in the closing moments simply because your browser was unable to call back to the server to see that those bids were made. The auction results must stand as they concluded.
We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
We hope that your future endeavors are successful. Please contact us again if we can be of further assistance.
