you can search forums like this one, check out Sedo.com..put a thread in "domain name wanted" in this forum, do a keyword search and register the name etc..in other words there are a vast number of ways to acquire a domain namemac8 said:I will launch soon my first website and I need some advices from where to buy my domain name
Yes Godaddy is one of the better ones..can't beat their .99 to register a (dot)info...as for hosting, my only tip is select a few potential "hosting sites" and send them a "support ticket" and see how fast they respond etc..No use is finding good hosting package with poor support!Looking around, Godaddy seems to be the biggest.
Is godaddy a good choice or are there better offers for both domain name registering and hosting?
Thanks!
on a side note, this is also a good thing to do for non-hosting sites too, just to see if they're on the level and how helpful they are.briguy said:my only tip is select a few potential "hosting sites" and send them a "support ticket" and see how fast they respond etc..No use is finding good hosting package with poor support!
very true. you should make sure whichever host you find has the ability to handle what your site needs (webspace, bandwidth, databases, subdomains, scripts, etc).stub said:What kind of website are you launching? This might effect your choice of registrar.
