Hey Guys

For all those who had taken dedicated IP for $2.95 , they can continue to get domains for $4.67.

All you have to do is renew already registered dedicated IP for 1 more month. then you get domain for 1.99. Apply any 10% coupon.

One of the few times I'm HAPPY to admit that I was WRONG!

I think that back in July/August, I predicted that these coupon codes would be sorted out after GoDaddy attracted the new, cost sensitive customers that it needed.

However, the model appears to be working for GoDaddy, as the domains in the $4 range are still available. I'm not sure exactly what their thinking is (Maybe brand loyalty/don't want to have domains spread over many registrars), but it's created a decent situation for domainers.

Thanks to Iravan for keeping this updated, and all for posting.

Well I just bought Dedicated Ip for 2 months and a Domain (used 10%) 7.33 total. Now I get 4.67 domains!

The 4.67 per domain is only for those who allready have a dedicated ip from them and can use that to extend it for 1 month.
For new purchase of dedicated ip its 2 months minimum time period.
So the cheapest i could get is 6.47/-.
Someone correct me if i m wrong...

You ARE NOT wrong. This is correct.

One point on this. Now I can renew the Dedicated IP (i hope) For 1 month, still taking advantage over the 1.99 pricing, meaning that i can get real cheap pricing (still need to check on this) That was my idea!

these days all we seem to get are 10% off codes...

I hope this isnt old or known news, but its better safe to post what I found than not I suppose....

I just got $4.19 .COMs. You have to be purchasing 10 at a time *and* you must have already purchased the dedicated IP once. One of my 10 was a .NET so that works too it seems.

How I got there:

1) logged into my account
2) went to the "my renewals" (dropdown) / choose 'hosting renewals' selection
3) check the "Dedicated Hosting IP" checkbox and choose ONE MONTH. (change it in the cart later). You must click on "Continue to Domain Renewals" button even if you dont want to renew any domains at all...
4) it then brings you to your upcoming name renewals. I didnt do that, I registered new names by clicking the MyCart icon at the top-right of the screen.
5) while in my shopping cart, I was able to adjust the length of the Dedicated IP renewal. I found 10 to be the optimal amount, along with 10 $1.99+.25 dot-com domains = $51.90 in total.
6) Use the $10 off $50 or more coupon GDH010381 and that drops it to $41.90

$41.90 for 10 domains = $4.19 per domain.

Once again, you must have already purchased the dedicated IP once before and you must buy 10 domains. If you have more than using the above method yields the following:

11 domains + 11 IP renewals = $4.28/domain
12 domains + 12 IP renewals = $4.36/domain
13 domains + 13 IP renewals = $4.42/domain
14 domains + 14 IP renewals = $4.48/domain
and so on... each domain + IP renewal will add 4 cents to the PER domain cost.

I have registered only NEW domains using this method and only .COM and .NET names.

Hope it saves someome just a bit more...
