Important Note
Please note that this thread is only for information that directly leads to discounts at GoDaddy.

If you are looking to discuss the recent changes to GoDaddy's promo code policy, please use this thread.

If you have been banned from GoDaddy as a result of alleged promo code abuse, please use this thread.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I won an expiring auction at gd, is there any promotion codes for this?
TKS

You will still have to pay the "Auction" amount, but you can lower the cost of the domain renewal fee by using tvspecial (for .com).

If you happen to have other .com's in your account that you were planning to renew anyway, you can add 5 more renewals and use DNF5 to bring the renewal fee down to 6.99 per domain (this will also bring down the renewal fee for the expired auction domain).

FYI: INDY2010 still works (.99 + ICANN fee, $1.17). I think it's one time use only, though.

SAVE 31% OFF your order
Code = gda555a

Expires Date: 31 May 2010

Can anyone confirm if this is still working?

I need to renew 10-15 .in's and this doesn't seem to work.

Any other decent codes for .in renewal?

SECRET = Using different godaddy account and different credit card or debit card.
It can register multiple .COM. Try it.

Not something I'd be promoting :|
-Isin't it called "cheating" if you have to use different accounts and different creditcards
to take advantage of the "one time use" code Godaddy provided?

The code doesn't work with discounted bulk pricing, at least not with dot com.

Ah ok, so what's that mean I gotta renew names 1 by 1 to get the discount? I'll give it a try.. but quite silly unless its restricted to one use per customer or something.

Thanks for the info Weber.

What's the cheapest for a .com reg/renew?

We live in glass houses. Most of these codes are supposed to be for new users or special promotions. They are definitely not intended to be collected in a thread and shared. The mere concept of a thread to collect codes is gaming the system (aka cheating). Using multiple GD accounts to use single-use codes is just one more way to make overpriced domain name renewals/registrations more affordable and is no worse than this thread itself. :imho:

Sorry but collecting public data is irrelevant to the idea of cheating GoDaddy :p

You can't fool me Archangel. I know you have secret accounts. :)

@bionichead: I think the discount codes are supposed to be used by different people, not by different accounts/credit cards of the same members. So I really don't see anything wrong in sharing them in threads. I'd even think that's what registrars want, it's all free advertising for them ;)

Godaddy is well aware of this thread. They probably have someone who reads it regularly, maybe even makes a synopsis for management of all the NP and DNF Godaddy threads.

GD has made a business decision to accept that domainers will participate in their coupons. It gets us (large domain purchasers) on to their web site and thinking about their company. We can renew, buy other domains and buy hosting, etc. That would be worth the over $5 LOSS that Godaddy incurs for each 99 cent domain. Don't kid yourself - Godaddy has to pay for those domains.

If people abuse the coupons then they will no longer be offered, or will be offered in a way that we cannot use them.

They are for sharing... I've never seen a **note** on any communication from Godaddy saying
they can't be shared. Regular codes - "unlimited use".

The "new user" or "Special Promotion" codes are usually a one time/one account use.
As you posted above.

Which is why I posted what I did, it shouldn't be encouraged to open multiple
accounts and use multiple debit/credit cards to "take advantage" of the Special Promo.

Ladies n gents, lets get back to sharing codes - legitimate ways... as much as anyone might have been trying to help, as Wendy, the_poet & Archangel have already pointed out, its quite clearly cheating if you're having to create multiple accounts to take advantage.

The special codes work ONCE for a reason. GD is more than happy for them to be shared as the purpose is for them to get promotion. I doubt they'd be happy that there are people gaming their system. Lets be fair and be happy we get these promo's at all.

Now... back to the subject of code sharing - anyone got anything that can get .in domains lower than $11.25 ?

I can't get that 31% code to work on .in's at all.

The 31% off of any order code is not working on any domain at my end :(

I guess you know that Mitsu have had a promotion running for a couple of months and last time i looked dot ins were only about $2 to register. Mitsu is a bit of a mishmash but very cheap and support is good. Credit card and paypal accepted.

The simple fact that we are here asking for GoDaddy coupons for this renewal or that transfer is all free advertising to them!

SCAM14 still works for a .net reg/renewal ($7.67).

Thanks to whoever posted that originally.

Use code: DNF5
to renew .COM
$7.57 for 1 renewal
$7.17 for 6 or more renewals
