Wow. This topic blows me away. This girl named Lyndsey Kadziauskas was "raped" at a party. It's no big deal I am posting this here since the day after it happened she came clean and told her parents. Most girls will hold it in and let it build up because they don't want all the extra attention that comes from it. I'm thinking that's all she wanted, and boy did she get it. Lyndsey was in the teen magizene "Cosmo Girl" about two years back right after it all happened. Ben and Matt called Lyndsey and asked her if she wanted to go to a party. Now at this point Lyndsey had NOT been drinking at all. She said she was "looking to improve her popularity", if anything, it hurt her image at school. She says she was emotionaly scared from this and wanted to reach out to all the other girls who had been raped before. That's not true. Lyndsey Kadziauskas was looking to improve her popularity. It was her first week in high school and she was surprised to be invited to a party at the home of one of the popular kids, 16-year-old Ryan Stinchfield, whose parents were out for the evening.
"I just thought, maybe, well, there's older kids there I knew, maybe I'll have fun," said Lyndsey, who was 14 at the time. "Maybe I'll be cooler if I go over there."
Lyndsey sneaked out of her house and rode to the party with Stinchfield and two other youths, Ben Cormier, 18, and Matt Kelley, 16.
At the party, Lyndsey quickly polished off some strong rum and Pepsi cocktails. She was not an experienced drinker and began to feel sick. She asked to lie down and Stinchfield took her to his bedroom. He left and she was eventually joined by Cormier and Kelley.
"A while later, I don't remember, I didn't have any pants on or any shoes on or anything," said Lyndsey. "Just my shirt and my bra. The next thing was Ben on top of me."
Lyndsey says she was a virgin at the time and was startled by Cormier's actions. "He was trying to have sex with me. I didn't really know what to do." Kelley had sex with her, and she is unclear as to whether or not she said no.
"I don't think so," said Lyndsey. "I was really, really scared โฆ then I fell back asleep or passed out or whatever. And then I woke up and they were all out of the room."
The boys later gave Lyndsey a ride home, during which, she says, they stopped the vehicle and Cormier forced her onto an outdoor table and asked her to perform oral sex on him.

The next day Lyndsey was bombarded by phone calls from other kids at school as gossip spread about the incident. She initially said that she wasn't raped.
"I didn't really know what had happened, and I didn't want to say anything wrong to my parents," said Lyndsey. "And I was scared too that they would think badly of me, so I just decided to act like nothing happened."
Cormier, the only boy involved in the case who agreed to speak with 20/20, claimed that Lyndsey seemed to be experienced at oral sex. "She actually acted like she'd done it before," he said, adding, "She never said she didn't want anything to happen."
"I've heard that explanation before," said Cyndi Amato, director of the South Maine Rape Crisis Center. "That doesn't mean that she said yes. It doesn't mean she meant maybe. It means consent was not given.
"We need to educate kids," said Amato. "That's where we have really fallen down on educating our youth: about what consent is โฆ We really need to look at that. Consent to any type of act โ especially a sexual act โ needs to be active, not passive." Amato added that alcohol is involved in 90 percent of all rapes.
Criminal Investigation
Back at school Lyndsey found notoriety, not popularity. She was taunted and called a "slut" by kids in the hallways. She sought help from her principal and a counselor, and told them she'd been raped. The counselor immediately contacted the police and an investigation was begun.
After investigators searched Stinchfield's bedroom and found a bloodstained mattress, they arrested Cormier and Kelley.
At the age of 19, Cormier was convicted of gross sexual assault โ for forcing sex on Lyndsey while she was intoxicated โ and is serving at least six years in prison. He maintains he is innocent and is appealing his conviction. Kelley, now 18, is out on parole after serving less than 18 months in a juvenile facility. The party host, Stinchfield, now 18, dropped out of high school and still faces charges of providing a place for minors to drink alcohol.
Throughout the case, Lyndsey says she was ridiculed at school, and even beaten up by one fellow student for accusing the popular boys.
Amato says criticism of Lyndsey is misplaced.
"I would say that it isn't about what she did or what she didn't do," said Amato. "What it is about is what was happening in the moment โฆ the mind-set of these boys."
Instead of keeping a low profile, Lyndsey decided to speak out in the media, including Cosmo Girl, a national teen magazine.
"I wanted to tell a lot of girls that it happened to that it's OK to get the guys in trouble," said Lyndsey. "It's OK to tell someone about it. You know, you shouldn't be ashamed of it, because it's not your fault."
Lyndsey, now 16, is determined to move on. "I just want to think about the future," she said. "I don't want to think about this anymore."
