My boss isn't going to be happy with me...

The cheapest cigarettes we sell are called Grand Prixs. I had about 7 people in line and this older lady was next and was holding a small dog. She was yapping to the other peopel about how she had to take it to a vet because she dropped the dog out of her truck and it was bleeding from the leg.

I asked her what I she needed and she said Six Grands. I grabbed the 6 packs and laid them on the counter. She said "boxed". So I picked them up and put them back and grabbed 6 boxes of Grands. I laid them on the counter and she said "100's". This whole time she is blabbing on and on to the others about the dog. I took the 6 boxes of cigarettes and threw them towards the far end of the counter and grabbed the ones she wanted and told her if she cant tell me exactly what she wanted when she came in then to go to some other store. She lost all the color in her face and didnt say another word. I took her money and gave her the change and she left.

I know she will be in to complain to the owner but I dont care. We are way to busy to keep getting stuff then putting it back over and over.

I hate people who come thru our drive thru that don't have any concept of where they actually are..

We had someone come thru last night that asked for a "Bag O'Burgers" which is a product served by another restautant.. we don't even have burgers. They do the same with fries, etc., asking for things we don't have by the name carried at another chain. Then they get mad when you tell them you don't have burgers!

I have very short patience when people act stupid.

I was at the end of my patience when she came in. If she would have left the dog at HOME where it belongs she wouldnt have dropped it and she could have told me six Grand 100's in a box and all would have been fine.

We have so many that come in and can NEVER remember what they smoke! I mean come on you have been smoking for years yet you cant remember but you want me to remember what each and every person that comes in smokes!?

Then theres the ones that know their cigarettes cost say $4.22 and they only have $4.00 and they get mad because I wont cover them. Yeah right, I am working to MAKE money not lose money by suppporting their bad habbits. LOL

Each puff she takes is a few minutes slashed off her life; at least be a bit more patient with her.

This is why I loved working at Goodwill. My boss didn't care what we said to the customers, because most of them we're always trying to rip us off anyway. I mean they thought that because the items were donated to Goodwill, that they should get them for free... They'd change price tags and always try to barter with you, etc... (and this was in a rather moderate income area that had tons of tourism, its not like these people were poor). And the best part was if anyone ever complained and threatened to call the corporate office, I'd always write the number down for them, along with my name, and tell them to have a great day

i used to work in McDonalds (oh the shame...) and i absolutely lost it as we were running the place with only 6 people working and it was a Saturday afternoon with the queue leading out the door...i was under pressure to get everyones food out on time and i was beginning to become a bit angry and frustrated due to the lack of help we were getting

so i was urging people to have there money at the ready and this old guy came up to tell me what he wanted. he began to say "Ill have a McChicken sandwich" and he was sick all over the counter so i shouted at the guy for being so stupid! needless to say i faced the sack so i jumped before i was pushed! never work in a place like that.... :hehe:

Does your company have any policies against bringing animals (especially ones which are bleeding!) into the store?

If you boss starts giving you grief, maybe you can use that as ammo!
