Hi, im fuser and ive just created yesterday (and im still working on it) a site called Wikli (www.wikli.com) .. basically its a site where you can search all of the wikipedia content. For example, when you search for something at wikipedia, it only shows you the page title. Wikli shows you the title, a brief description of it and the url. Im still thinking of some features to add but thats another story.

Here the trouble. Ive tested Wikli on Firefox, IE (for mac), Opera and Safari. On Firefox and Opera, the logo looked great. On Internet Explorer for MAC and Safari on the other hand, the logo had darker background that made it look awful.. why is this happening?

Also, when you go to www.wikli.com/about , the text is not aligned correctly... how can i fix this?

Thanks everybody for your help,

fuser

Since you used a PNG with 24-bit colour the alpha channel in IE is being misinterpreted. Co-incidentally I just wrote about this in another thread about an hour ago. Here: http://www.namepros.com/2205134-post7.html

I took your image, flattened out the alpha channel and converted the image to a 256 indexed palette. It works fine now and the colour loss is not noticable (it is also 6k smaller).

Try this:
