Need help with browser compatibility

i've begun designing a template for a website and it looks great in safari and opera, but in firefox, netscape and explorer some of graphics are not aligned correctly.

That is so strange but do you use dreamweaver because they help fix errors just like this.

yes, i ran the browser check and it came up with some margin tag errors... is that the problem?

if so how do i fix it?

That is probably it but try searching through the code in dreamweaver it sometimes shows up in different colors.

still no luck, i even took out the margin tags altogether and nothing changed in any of the browsers. any other suggestions?

Are you using a css? The problem could lie in the code of your css.

i figured it out... turns out there was a problem in the way i sliced the psd file up before i exported it to html. the large logo on the left was in the same row as the nav bar and was forcing those cells to stretch to the height of the logo. thanks for the suggestions though.

sorry, for my english I come from germany.

I looked at the source text once. You produced the picture and let produced the html with a photo program. That is not so happy. Build yourself your picture. Store it and then, cut apart it they into the parts is required. You go after it into a HTML-Editor (Dreamweaver or other) and produce a table for you, where you declare the picture in the cells as background in each case. You take over the alignment of the table. css before. You get big help from the product "selfhtml"
