I plucked a nice little suprise last night. I was astonished that this was available. I have been very diligent finding names but it has gotten realy realy scarce. Of all people I usually find great names because I take the time to really search. Lately the names are getting hard to find and Im starting to see that folks are cleaning up every name I was potentially thinking of. So with that in mind, if you guys have any names you are thinking of, you better buy them before they are gone. In the last month the amount of available names has decreased dramatically and I bet this board is responsible for alot of it! The name I registered is:

I can't stress enough how fast the names are getting taken. I had several other names I wanted but I waited too long, for example I have had CultureChannel.tv in my brain for 4 months but never acted, I was about to buy it yesterday and it was gone to someone in Korea just a few days ago. From what I understand Korea is one of the more domain savvy places and if they are buying .TV then the rush is on! It will only be a matter of time until there are no more to register. As it is I can only think of a handful more that I want because there have been 3 other times when I lost out on a name in the last week. BUY BUY BUY!

I picked up DataEntry.tv and MarketingBook.tv, not really germain to the extension, but I have plans, SEO-wise. Oh, and earleir today I just picked up PaleAle.tv, hey surely some beer company will fork over a few bucks.

Sorry to get you all wild! LOL I just wanted to point out how scarce good names are getting. I even started looking up names I DO NOT want because I wanted to see if they were taken. Time after time I found many terrible names that were irrelevant with low overture registered. It was kind of an experiment to gauge how widespread new registrations are. Last night I spent hours searching for any and every word I saw on the internet. To my suprise its not just great names being registered anymore. It almost seems like people are registering just to clear out all remaining .tv's. I have found countless times the .tv is taken but there is still .org .info .us available. Its actually really ridiculous the sheer amount of bad names taken. I was just picking out words at random for hours and barely found any nice ones.

Heck, if someone is registering all of the sucky names, that is good news, as it limits the choices end users will have.

there are still some very nice names avail- you just have to keep plugging away- i have built a solid tv portfolio in the passed 60 days- just tonight i got Amused.tv - it was avail- i flipped- with sites like vh1 going for names like acceptable.tv- names like Amused.tv will be huge-
i just sold one yesterday for 650.00- i was asking 750.00- but buckled- he is an end user and i like what he is gonna do- developed .tvs will only help us-

I agree, aslong as the domains are being boughten it really doesnt matter. Just more for .tv extensions.. im just waiting till I find a suitable name to buy

I agree, get solid names that can be tied to the TV name.

Also, the names are dissapearing fast. I keep a list of names I like, and out of the 100 or so I was looking at for the last few weeks, only about 25% are still out there.

If the name takes of after May 1st, premiums that tie in will do some very interesting things over the next few months.

Wish I had more to invest.
