Just going through my portfolio and came across the name

worse.tv

What was I thinking?

I cannot remember my personal reasons for the purchase, but I imagine it was to create a channel of all the really bad moments in TV programmes. Whatever it was, the name is a stinker in 2009.

Anyway, I thought it must be one of the worst names in my portfolio.

And then I thought, what are the worst names in yours....?

And why on Earth did you buy them?

Perhaps that way some of the newbies here can see the mistakes the old hats have made in their TV madness and not make the same mistakes themselves.

Last year I grabbed a .net and .tv that were trademarked by eloan and wouldn't you know I got a letter. I was dumb enough not to do a search, the .com was parked and thought I would have been ok.

It was eloan keyword.net and .tv. So becareful in grabbing eloan names lol

Thankfully I handed the names over and was a smooth process but opening that letter really bothered me. First letter ever by a law firm.

What was I thinking lol.

So do your trademark searches folks.

I ve registered a german district geo name, well i thought so since i had the spelling wrong. Stupid me!

A better question to ask than "what was I thinking" would, must be "what was I drinking?"
There was no rhyme nor reason for its purchase and I gracefully allowed it to expire.
I do not know who, if anyone, owns it now but I wish them luck. I have since learned from that harrowing experience and have been much more intelligent in my selection of names.

I have some typos which occurred in reg haste before I learned I could have them cancelled. They are nice for bumping up my total registrations count!

This is a little different spin but I started buying .tv in 2000 and while all the gems where sitting there, I went ahead and registered in 2000 Notcom.tv and I think e-free.tv. I dropped them I think in 2001.

I could of got top 50 city/state/country Geo's and some of them non-premium but you learn from mistakes.

I bought it because it was available and it's sex- I mean that's always a premium keyword.
But- I have no development plan, or even an idea where to begin, with this type of name as it's completely different to all my other names. Perhaps I should keep my fingers crossed that S4/C bring out a show entitled 'Rhyw' and want to buy it from me...

Unfortunatly I have a couple of terrible names, although dices.tv might be the worst as that's not even a name. I regged it thinking it's the plural of 'dice', but the plural of dice is just still 'dice'

I did it, Yatch.tv.... no complex, I did it before you, so happy to see it available I regged for...2 years registration with .Tv Corp, couldn't delete it..., and lol congrats you got it when it was just back to the registry !

I have another one, ... I registered this absolute world champion, -don't ask me why I got it when I could have regged SeaFlight.tv or GroundFlight.tv or CaveFlight.tv instead-, silly me, I proudly got... AirFlight.tv ...
I guess I am myself a perfect mistake.

I know....lol.... Although it is quite a "stinker", on the odd occasion that it does get a click or two, the EPC is surprisingly, very good.
