Looking at a domain Counterflow dot com, wondering if counterflow is one word or two, checked the dictionary, and it is a one word term, yet I still doubt myself, any help, as I know there are some very smart people on this board.:)

One definition, IMO, means it is one-word. Butterfly, to me, is one word. Counterflow is one word.

I believe it is two words, due to long winded syllables.

I have never seen it used in the sense "counterflow" but if it was used as one word, must be really technical.

It's a compound word. If you are planning to advertise and sell it to domainers as a one word .com I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

It's two words taken as one in the dictionary same as overflow, underwater, etc.

it's a compound word. interestingly, "counter" and "flow" can be separate words too, but "counter" by itself takes on another meaning... ok well maybe it's not *that* interesting... :p
