So I went to my local video store to see if they'd put any new Gamecube games up for sale. I like them because you get the original case, instructions, and game for only $10, plus a guarantee that they'll work or your money back.

Anyway, they didn't have any different ones for sale but the owner asked me to see which I'd be interested in off the wall and she'd see if she could sell them to me.. I checked their rental stock and gave her a list of about 12 I'd have been interested in buying.

Well, out of those 12, she decided she could sell me five off my list so I got:

Backyard Baseball
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Nascar Thunder 2003
Pikmin
Pitfall: The Lost Expeditions

All with the original case and instructions for $50 so don't think I did too bad.

Haven't even had the system a month yet and already have 13 games for it.. now all I need to do is actually start playing some of them! (I played Vexx last night for about an hour)

:)

Seems like an ok buy. I have done the same, you can always get good deals from the video stores :)

The local Blockbuster seems to have nothing but cr*p... they had two games I wanted.. one was seriously scratched, the other was nothing but fingerprints and neither had instructions.. plus they were priced over what the other stores were charging for used.

GameCrazy is your answer... also try ebay :)

I'm not much of a game player but when I find a game I like when renting it, I usually check ebay or gamecrazy, or blockbuster.

Yeah, I look on eBay everyday... with shipping these games would have cost me a bit more and buying locally, I have some recourse if the games don't work (plus they all came with the instructions). Blockbuster generally charges too much for their used games IMO. Never tried GameCrazy. I also rent to see if I want to buy a game. I have a half-price rental card so can rent for a week for $1.30 or so.
