I'm not a big game player, but if I play I like games like Mario and Sonic, baseball, or arcade-style racing games (Ridge Racer, etc).

I recently bought a Nintendo 64 for Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, and Rayman.. now I just bought a Nintendo Gamecube off eBay last night with two games: Mario Kart Double Dash and Luigi's Mansion.

Any other Gamecube owners? I don't have mine yet (waiting for delivery) and have never played the system before . What do you all think of it?

(One reason I looked at the Gamecube (besides the Mario games) was because the games are still being produced for it and rental games are available for it.)

I've always been a sucker for old school Nintendo. Gamecube is great. I prefer to play games on my PC nowadays so i'll probably never buy another system.. although I think I may have to purchase the new Nintendo Wii, it looks pretty sweet and they're keeping it realtively cheap!

For some reason, I've never liked playing games on the PC.. probably because they have so many different requirements that need to be met (right video card, etc) while a console has games created specifically for it.. you know they'll work the way they're supposed to!

I love both :D I play PC games a lot, especially Counterstrike: Source - god I love that game! But dridley, you are right, there are a lot of requirements that need to be met and some of the latest games coming out need some pretty advanced specifications - specifications that cost money to get :p

Yeah, that's definitley a downfall of PC gaming.

I'd been wanting a Gamecube skin but couldn't stomach paying $5 shipping off eBay for something that could easily be sent for $1.50 or so.. got a Zelda Twilight Princess skin today at the mall (Babbages) for $10 and it looks great! Thick vinyl skin that went on super easy.

Also got Namcomuseum (love Galaga), Crazy Taxi, and Enter The Matrix for the Gamecube today. That brings the total number of GC games I currently have to 23.
