I always wonder where LLLLL.com is heading. I wasn't really paying much attention with LLLLL.com until this weekend.

For starter I registered:
Atnee.com
Edols.com
Egass.com
Osroo.com
Otain.com

I've seen some good sales of this type of domains and I wonder if LLLLL.com is a good investement let say 1 to 3 years down the road.

Few months ago I have collected some nice LLLLL.coms and when I checked the availability of 200 LLLLL.com I collected only 100+ are left.

Any thought?

While LLLL will be bought out, once you go beyond that it's entirely about brandability and quality - LLLLL should be pronounceable at the very least to garner value.

I think they are going to go up in value... Over a period of 2-5 years. Especially once all the LLLL.coms are regged.

As stated above, I think the names MUST be pronouncable or a very popular acronym or a surname or get really good google hits.

One good thing about these name, IMO, is that they are unique and made up, easy to TM and brand. That is where the value is IMO.

# of LLL = 17,576

It just depends on what you consider to be valuble?

Do you consider a 100% profit valuble?

Or do you go more by numbers and consider a $100 sale valuble?

Or do the numbers have to be higher and maybe a $10,000 sale is valuble to you?

Personally, I consider all of the above to be valuble. And there have been some good sales for generic LLLLL.coms. Just check out the online sales journals, forums and blogs.. you see some nice sales going on in the LLLLL.com niche.. Well I guess it depends on what you consider to be "nice" LOL..

Although there more than 11 million combo I don't see that all will be bought out. However, all pronounceable and good letter combos could be bought out. A lot of these pronounceable ones are unique on its own combo. Like everyone is saying they are brandable and they are.

LLLLL (and any more characters higher) will be based more on brandability. Random LLLLLs will never sell (e.g. hxgjt.com), but interest has been picking up on short and pronounceable names (e.g. examp.com, ammox.com, edoro.com, olode.com). I think they'll hold value for a long time since there are so many, but I also think the brandable LLLLL market will get very saturated very quickly.

I think that the CVCV.com category has risen significantly in value over the past 2 years. I don't remember reading much about them before September last year and now it is getting difficult to get good CVCV.com domains for under $1000.

Some of these CVCV.com domains are not popular enough to provide enough traffic to pay for themselves and yet are worth low $XXXX and this wasn't the case 2+ years ago.

I think that the concept of buying a domain simply for it's brandable potential is in a growth stage and there are many small categories of LLLLL.com that today aren't worth anything significant but in the future will be in low supply due to those categories of LLLLL.com being bought out and held onto for their brandable potential.

Twists on the CVCV.com domain seem to do well on ebay every week:
CVCVC.com
CCVCV.com
CVVCV.com
CVCCV.com
CVCVV.com

One category that I think looks promising is the CVCCV.com where the CC is the same consonant repeated. Also it is not easy to get good CVCVV.com that end in "oo" or "ee".

I agree 100% with you. Random LLLLL.COM will be worth crap. Nobody want qignm.com.

After reading some responds above I started picking up some of these LLLLL.com.

VURG I think some CCVCC.com is quite nice also. I reg. Skerf.com in that category.

The pronounceable LLLLL.com don't last long for being available. I pick up some nice ones like:

Foise.com
Leors.com
Eelos.com
Skerf.com
Onoom.com
Breys.com
Elfem.com
Boneg.com
Othor.com
Eksoo.com
Oneey.com
Ottea.com
Cewee.com
Moars.com
MrZet.com
Nedom.com
Scuad.com

I will definitlely reg. more and hopefully I can have at least 100 of these before all the pronounceables are gone.

I think the question is: if you have fixed amount of money, should you invest in some bad LLLL or good LLLLL?

That's an easy one..I will definitely go for good LLLLL.com now.

I've been registering LLLL.com for the past few months and the ones that are available now are pretty much left over. But I think the left over LLLL.com will still hold some value in a year or two maybe not much but perhaps more than what you paid for.

As for LLLLL.com I started to pick up some nice pronounceable ones as much as I can. I'm a little surprise that after a day or two the ones I've collected tend to disappear quickly. And that is telling me something.

I've seen some LLLLL.com sale and some of them are in $x,xxx range.

I think random LLLL.com will have some value to it but thinking of random LLLLL.com it looks out of scope right now.

Imagine the drops and it is not just going to be 11,881,376 regs. It will need more then that.

Well,

I might be making a gamble with this one but I regged UeUeU.com today:)
OooEeeOooEeeOoo... ice ice ice.. break it down.. LMAO

It was the only 5L.com I could find that had a VvVvV format, all the v's and V's being the same vowell.

Other ex's:
*OeOeO
*AeAeA
*IaIaI

I think they are memorable and could be branded. Plus they seem to all be mostly taken.
There might be more availabe, but I couldn't find them.
How many possibilities are there for this type of VvVvV.com? Only 5 x 5 I think, so 25 :) NOT COUNTING Y

I also did a quick scan for VcVcV, where the V's and c's are the same letters.

examples:
*AbAbA
*OgOgO
*IpIpI

Most, if not all of those are gone as well.

However I went ahead and picked up, uWuWu.com ;) I think it looks and sounds cool, all the U's and double U's.. LOL UuuWuuWuu

How many of this type of VcVcV.coms are there? 5 x 26 if I'm correct? So only 130? I might be questioning myself too much but I'm never sure of my math;)

Well those are some of my thoughts on the LLLLL.coms .

With my registration of eqeqe.com, no VcVcV.com where V and c are repeating remain. :)

I love them!!! But they have to be very brandable, I am picky about them, "See my avatar", That is one of 85 i own, Rather they ever become big sellers or not, I will pick them up off drop and keep them, I am not a DN resaler any way, But i love my 5 letter branders :tu:
