One easy note... Do your research before you buy. If you're buying something with the intent to flip it to end users then make sure you have multiple possibilities and not just one.
Well said ajaydz, One should have some savings before staring in domain mkt as it required to bide your chance to get the right value of your domain name.I am not a full timer but I have a suggestion. If you are going full time, set aside 6 months worth of living expenses+renewal money in bank.Else you may face situations to sell good domains cheap just to cover your bills.
is there any full time domainers here....what is your strategy and tips to make the monthly income from domains rolling
Hello Tom Karl. Great You seem to have a very I repeat very good knowledge of the finance aspect of the industry. Impressive, Educative and Informative!Diversify your domain portfolio into 3 parts.
1. Long-term holds
2. Quick flip domains
3. Outreach domains
3. Outreach domains are domains you flip for $100-$500 and initiated contact with end users first
2. Quick flip domains are those you list on marketplaces for a bit more than what you paid.
1. Long-term holds, domains you know will eventually sell for 4 figures or more. Domains that if you emailed and end user about it for $500, they would jump on the opportunity without a second thought, those you hold on to imo.
If you sit on your entire portfolio waiting for $xxxx offers and never sell anything for more than what you paid because it wasn't a 100%+ ROI, you'll end up with a whole lot of renewal fees and not enough income to keep at it full time.
Study the industry until you can determine which domains can fit into which category and be proactive.
