I have my domains parked at GoDaddy. I think they are doing REALLY well, of course, I'm new and don't know anything. But they've been parked for less than 2 weeks and I've gotten $20 built up so far. I want to move them because GoDaddy charges a monthly fee. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!! I applied to Park.com and got a reply back that they would be in touch within 2-3 business days, that was weeks ago, still NOTHING!!!! I applied at FABULOUS (<-- NOT) They said to come back when I have 50-100 (I have 28) Forget it...if I get 500 domains I won't waste my time again.
So I guess it's SEDO? I hope they're ok, because it seems like those that are recommended here have become so hoity toity they don't need/want any more domains or to respond to applicants. (Then why take the application.??) (And is it just me, it's a pain in the A to sit there and fill out those applications and type in your domains). My advice as a newbie would be don't bother spending the time applying at Park or Fabulous, you'd be better off walking up and down the street and looking for lost pennies. In the end you have a better chance coming out ahead than sitting filling in their applications which will result you in a big fat lost time you will never get back.
The number 1 most important tip I have read anywhere when it comes to web development and online business is that customer service is top priority. Well, it would be nice to at least see some acknowledgment that you had a customer <-- PARK.
This is so frustrating. I know that's one of the big things about the internet is that without a face people can be so rude. Besides Sedo, is there a recommendation for a site that is accustomed to dealing with people and behaves in such a way.
I'm not overly fond of Godaddy because of all their fees, but I can honestly say, they communicate well, and are always available for help when I call in (on my dime)
One other question, then I'll quit ranting. I'm developing a website with the domains I have for sale. Is there a means of generating a revenue on that site (since it is one of the sites I have parked and it seems to be getting a lot of traffic) I had posted this message earlier and someone wrote back to PM them, I did and guess what......He must work at the response department at Park.
Thanks all.
