Free Single Domain

I have a free domain and I think you could get one too. I saw it on DP and thought it would be great to share it here

The above link is a limited time promotional offer from Register.Com, which entitles you to an absolutely *FREE* TLD for the first year.

You must have Credit Card details or attach your Paypal account. They won't charge it though.

After the first year, the price goes back to the usual $35 a year for .com, net, org, biz, etc.

However, I would suggest, get the first year free, and transfer the domain to a cheaper registrar the next year

you add it to your cart, it should say it's $0.00

then u register adding your paypal address and thats it

where are you getting stuck?

I click the link above and enter the domain. Then, it goes to the shopping cart and the domain is there for three years as well as whois protection. I remove the whois protection and two of the years for the domains, and I see a charge of $35.

I don't know what I am doing wrong.

i managed to get a domain free yesterday

having the same problem...

even when the FREE option shows up, it is redirected to an error page saying that I already have the domain in my cart, even when I'm not registered! Strange problem!!

However, the offer details are still mentioned on the sites!

It seems that lot of registrars are offering these free domains. Just have seen that IPMirror is also offering it, but be careful. You will not have an option to transfer it to another registrar and you have to call them to get the authcode. Don't know whether they charge anything for it or not.

I have registered a free domain with Register.com and now I am not able to transfer it and being in country other than US, it is difficult for me to call them and ask.

Be careful while registering.
