Hi

I have my own domain name and site is up.

I want to use my mail id which is free. ( I don't want mail forward)
Example

my site is asdfgh.com
mail id [email protected]

I will change the "MX" record to point the free mail provider.
(Why I want is that If I chage the webhosting, I need to move only site content , no need to worry about mails)

One is ideas.live.com from microsoft which gives this feature.

But problem is I can not use outlook as free support is not available. ( for POP or http)

Any idea

Thanks
Anurag

For example
if my domain is asdfgh.com, i want to access [email protected] in server.
I too want that it should allow to download mail to outlook or any other client tool.

Recentally microsoft has started

URL is
https://domains.live.com/Signup/SignupDomain.aspx

Using this I am able to create mail account but hotmail/msn doesn't give free pop account to download mails in outlook.

before they were free in www.everyone.net but now it's not. i think http://www.i-p.com/ is still providing web-based email using your domain, might want to check it out as well. hth

I-p.com requires cname and mx changes, everyone.net requires only mx but optional cname will do

Click the Tools menu, then click "Accounts..." Click the Add button, then choose "Mail..." Enter a display name for you to use to reference the account, then click Next. Then enter in your Hotmail email address and click Next. Make sure that your email server is HTTP, and your provider is Hotmail, and click Next. Verify your email address, and enter your password (optional). if you leave the password field blank, you will be prompted for it each time you open Hotmail in OE. Click Next, then Finish to complete the setup. You may be prompted to download the folders from Hotmail; choose Yes to be able to read your Hotmail email now.

Once you have OE set up for Hotmail, you can send a blank email message to [email protected], and you will receive an automatic response back from Microsoft with some useful information about using Hotmail with Outlook Express
