.mobi Free keywordtracker and Mobi observation

Just an observation:

Out of 368,810,800 searches ( last 90 days ) the word mobi itself was searched 84x. to date . pretty small fraction.

So is this word tarcker a good indicator of the market potential of mobi? I think not!! The general public has NO idea what mobi is until it is mass advertised by the big boys. When cnn for example has their mobi site pasted over tv screens then we will be on the way with higher mobi values and traffic but until that time we must be patient.

My 17 year old niece has all the mobile/electronic gadgets and even she was unaware of mobi until last week when i showed her. That tells me mobi is so young that we on NP forum are well ahead of the game . When the kids are using mobi we will see the $$ flow soon enough.

Keyword trackers and the like at this point are only indicators of what may have potential but until millions of people are aware of mobi we will not see the numbers we expect.

Specificially the search for "domain mobi" has about 1500 searches for the past 90 days. Alot more than the previous months

You are correct though about the public and mobi. The public really has no idea about .mobi except for domainers. I really can't wait to see what the 4 RFP winners bring to the table in terms of development and promotion.

Agreed. Advancing technologies are another consideration, as well. :gl: :imho:

With respect to what people are searching for, specifically, from their cell phones while "on the go" ... this information, enough for us to make any firm judgements at least, does not exist that I am aware of, IMHO.
Who knows how things will shake out in the future of the "Mobile Web"? :blink:

The one on the WT site has an Adult filter on it - And it does knock down a lot of searches even if they werent Adult in nature (It also misses some obvious adult words).

I used to live on the Tool at DP - But ovt just plain sucks now - So I'm also using the tool on the Actual WT site now.

Hehe. When I started going crazy with .com two years ago I was attached to that site by the hip. :D

I'm gonna start migrating towards the actual WT site now too.
