For the time being I am making less than a buck a month with my 180 Mobi names. I am getting some traffic, but not much. Most of my names are parked at Sedo.com

I'm getting my names developed but the majority of them are sitting at the moment just parked.

Who thinks it would be a wise idea to forward our mobi names to a mobi directory or search engine for the time being? That way when a user goes to our names they find out what mobi is and don't get turned off by a parked page.

Until there is substantial traffic to our parked names, or until we develop them, I think forwarding them to a mobi resource with active sites is a good idea.

My names are parked on sedo. How would I forward them to a mobi dir.?

Instead of forwarding them to sedo forward them to a site like "dir.mobi (if vcool is cool with that)"

Not a bad idea at all, although I actually have most of my LLL's forwarding to a "Coming Soon" page with my email listed...just in case an end user comes along and wants to make me a nice offer. ;)

I could put up a link to a .mobi directory on that page, though.

thinking1, I am very cool with that.

It's a great idea, I also do have some .mobi names which I have not yet developed which I can forward to dir.mobi. In fact if you have travel releated .mobi then you can forward to travel.dir.mobi as well as an example.

Thanks

To be in line with the Sedo user agreement for parked pages (see here ), the parked mobis should be listed in a section called "domains for sale".

I belive sedo's parking is an optional service as stated on their site:

"Domain Parking is an optional service for Users to "park" his/her unused domain names in order to generate revenue and increase the chance of a sale'

Do you need to park your domain to sell with sedo?. What thinking1 is suggesting is list your domain with sedo for sell but in place of parking forward it to other domain.

Nice

Great intention of the heart exhibited here..

Yes traffic is really insignificant so far..

One idea might be to blog with Wordpress on one of your .mobis.. then on your hosting provider.. redirect your dot mobis to your one blog (if you have unlimited domain name support plan)

On your blog template, you can have links to:

-For Sale dot mobis page
-Mtld.mobi
-Dot Mobi directories (we can all have link exchanges)
-Our own Namepros Dot Mobi forum

The wordpress plugin that makes your worldpress blog Dot Mobi compliant can be found at http://pc.dev.mobi/?q=node/78

Keep it up guys..

Kind Regards,

Yelo
