Just got an email from GoDaddy ... they're offering free (ad-supported) web hosting for all new domain registrations and transfers. Here's an excerpt of the email I received a short while ago:

Ad-Supported Hosting is now FREE with every new domain name registration, transfer or renewal! That's right; every time you register, transfer or renew a domain name, you'll receive a Hosting Plan with 5-page Web site builder, 50MB of disk space and professionally designed templates — all included with your purchase!

I was thinking .... if one can place one's own Google Adsense ads, this might end up being a pretty good deal (as compared to parking pages)..... also considering that you're getting design templates as well...and when you combine that with articles available on content distribution sites, you got a website ready in a matter of a few hours.

not bad for a few cookie cutter sites... at least better than parking them.

Right, but you will not be allowed to place your own AdSense pub-ID. It'll be GoDaddy's one and they will profit from clicks not domain owners! Domainers will be "conent providers" and will see competitor ads on their site.
Cheers :)

If it will be so, then the offer is not very good for pure domain "some content plus Adsense" parking.

Perhaps, but I'm not too sure ... probably the best way is to test it out with new domain purchases. I think they're going to have some ppc banner on top of all the pages. But, what'll stop us from pasting our own javascript in the html ?

On a side note, is it possible to have two different pub-ids on a single page ??
