That is nice for those of us who don't have a dedicated server. It will be much easier to do business now. Has anyone else received this email?

If this won't propagate in any form to WWD it is a clear sign, that GD wants their resellers to quit buisiness. This was/is a speculation since time, lets see what happens.

With TDAM it is not that important (allthough not nice by GD) as it is not a service directly linked to OEM registrations as the free hosting offer.

The usual stuff:
1. Too much competition between domain registrars and dn registration providers. May be domain registrations and hosting is the most competitive market segment currently. Good news is that all the world is your market. Bad news, however, is that your competition is all over the world with too many countries having competitive advantage due to the highly educated, low-cost labor!
2. Variety of different DNS technologies and DNS models incl. the newest UnifiedRoot around-the-dot initiative.
