Forum newsletter

I have decided to keep my forum user active by sending a weekly newsletter containing the best posts and links to them. In the future I will include advertisment too. Is this a good idea? Here is my first newsletter that I made what do you think of it?

Personally, I think it is a great idea.
I used to do that with my web design company and for a forum it is much more relavant IMO, Best of luck to you!

That is really nice idea! :D Definitely a good way to keep member active and for some members who don't visit forum often. Though, you aren't going to send it to every member in the forum, are you? Just want to make sure because some people don't like to receive newsletters unless they really input for it.

So far I am sending it to people who didn't check the "do not recieve emails from admin" box. There will be an easy unsubscribe link though. I know it can be very annoying getting mail that you dont want.

I'm glad you like my idea, not that it's original or anything. I do think it will work too and it will not take to much work on my side either.
