Hi all. I have a test phpBB forum that I don't use and that isn't linked to in my website, and yet hundreds of these annoying forum bots go there, sign up, and post ads like it's some kind of free-for-all flea market. I plan to bring the forum public within a year or so.

Is there any way to:
A) flush the existing bot accounts (hundreds of them)?
B) stop them from signing up?

Thanks. I don't even know how they find it, because there's no link that points to it. They must be simply adding /forum to the website address.

if you're not actually using the forum, just uninstall and install again (the latest version of course). you should be able to track the ip of the bots in the admin area somewhere and then ban the ips. goooood luck.

You can uninstall the forum and then re-install it on different location.

Or just use Mods.
