I was looking for some opinions on flowerspecialists.com

It is supposed to be a minisite but it is my first attempt so I am clueless as to if it is good or bad.

I know one part that is lacking is the content but I do not know by how much. Most of the info is copied, just a bit is original.
I am writting original content now but for some odd reason I wanted to set up the site first, a mistake, to mess with the adsense placement.

Any thoughts are appreciated negative or positive.

Well, it is, as you said, a mini site. It looks like one, it feels like one and i'm sure there are better ways to "cloak" it. A mini site based on adsense alone is definitely not the top of the line. I'd consider affiliate programs and start working with the big names from TV and such. Use their RSS feeds to get better indexing. For some reason there are still a lot of people that listen to Martha Stewart's planting/gardening tips, also, the hype with the remodeling TV shows, which are always citing the "curb appeal" is something you can visually and contextually capitalize on.
There are also quite some men that are gardening, i'm not sure whether the pink is all too appealing. I'd think about going for more garden flavor, declare a plant of the day, give background info about the plant, pictures and last but not least,...people can buy the seeds from you via your affiliation with seed stores.

I'm sure you get where i'm going with this,...best of luck!

Thank you very much for the ideas, for some odd reason, I found it quite hard to build and could not really come up with any other ideas.

I agree on all the ideas you gave. I never thought of an rss feed or martha stewart as well as the adsense is not very appealing all over the pages.

I had thought the pink was a bit much but 2 of my friends said it looked ok but i should of gone with my gut instinct.

Thank you very much for the review it helps quite a bit.

I agree with Intel, pink is not all that appealing.

Hi,
The pink is overwhelming, but that doesn't mean you have to completely change the color schemes. Add a couple other colors (beige or some chocolate) to detract from the pink. Maybe even have a fade out effect. Also, your navigation is strange. Personally, I exit the site if it takes me more than 15 seconds to figure out what is going on. Increase your navigational menus recognition by taking the cut of flower image, and adding some boldness to the categories.

Best of luck,
Ninos

Thank you both very much for the ideas.....
I am going to add a new color.......I really like the idea of a light chocolate brown..

Also I am working on the navigation I also have found from others that it is bad.
That is what i get for using free templates...it takes a little longer for me to tweak them.

Thanks for the input.
