Please review my 1st minisite!

I have been meaning to make a minisite for some time now and this is what I came up with after a few hours

I am having trouble with the adsense integration, some of the ads arent appearing and its starting to get to me.

The site is: www.paydayadvance.biz

Let me know what you think - its a work in progress I plan on having at least 10 pages when im done

Well not much content to review about there yet ..
Design looks ok and header is fine too but font is quite boring and not looking professional though , you can even work for something more better
Adsense ads are blended well on top and bottom of post and 3rd one is coming in top right corner which looks 0k too and it will look more good when you will add more content time to time.
Update with your website laters and i will review it again

thanks shockie. some of the code i am adding into the text itself and the sidebar is added through the .php, i have used a plugin but you can only add one ad. im working on the content - whats my next step to try and get some traffic? i have linked to my blog which is a PR1, included sig links and will do some directory submission - what else can i do?

try the general link building activities... submissions, bookmarking, commenting, etc.

good content is key to getting the best backlinks, though, your niche isn't exactly a "reputable" one. just keep the information solid and useful and try not to obliterate the site with ads just yet.

I have to agree about the obvious lack of content. But we all know you will fix that.
I like the background graphic and the transparent band at the very top of the page
(graphic) looks very clean and ads a layer or demension that works well.


Color scheme is "biz" like and clean. I like the table background image on the
first paragraph and might be continues through out the design in spots.

I do NOT like the neon "payday" pic. Out of place and cheapins the feel.
One more thing that stands out at me is the placement of the second "G-ad".
Just above the neon sign and under the first paragraph. The "G-ad' needs to
be dropped and centered up with the top ad.

Nice design, but I think you should use a different font with a darker colour because its really hard to read atm. You should also perhaps change the sidebar ad into a square ad (makes the sidebar look nasty if its half blank, unless of course you can add another skyscraper right next to it)

NN, thanks alot for your advice and help! I got rid of the neon pic, dropped the second set of G Ads and centered them - i also changed it to a large block. No im trying to work on the content, font and header (having trouble with font and header). Also i am trying to add some affiliate links - i have a cj account but have never used it, any other options?

yup, i think that you should have more of a site before the heavy promotion begins. otherwise, you'd be asking for submissions and bookmarks for an incomplete site, so you may or may not get approved.
