1st attempt at a site...plz review....

This is the first time i have tried to build a web site so it is quite simplistic...
I even used a free template...but i think it is funtional.......

I bought the name to try and resell it but i figured i would have more luck developing the site.

Any view is great appreciated......I am still adding items but it is close to being complete.
Remember it is my first attempt so plz be as critical as possible.

Not sure about the value of tl-domain.com, you probably made the right decision to develop rather than resell.

Hey thanks for the quick reply.

I tried to keep the site very simple...due to the fact that I do not know what I am doing and that I do not want others to get a complex feel and leave the site. ......... or by being confused on how to navigate .....
or due to the color scheme burning out their eyes

...I happen to be a fan of hyphens for domain names...but tl-domain seems to only be somewhat noticeable as to the meaning to domain traders and developers....

so I thought I might try to build the site and then incorporate a few other hyphenated domain names related to tl-domain and try to build my own website empire related to domains.....(Ha Ha Ha).....but it is what I am comfortable with now.


Oh yeah....any ideas for my Domain Resources page would be greatly appreciated....I have no np to hand out or anything so a simple idea would be cool......
or should i just delete that page all together.....

• You need a unique logo/banner.
• Feels like there are too many ads on the site (3).

Hi. First of all, the template looks good as it is your first time. It needs more colouring (the white background needs to be coloured), the logo looks good, the other colours look nice. Second, the content is well-based.

Detailed Analysis

Deciding to develop your website shouldn't be an easy choice. Is it going to be a success? Is it risky? Will I benefit ultimately? Deciding to develop a domain website is particularly risky because firstly, there are already so many out there, and secondly, the major companies have a greater advantage over smaller sites such as yours. However, that is not to say that all small websites are bad. They usually have more one to one business and this is good for customer support and sales.

Your websites doesn't seem very well designed. I assume this is because of your free template. You can see the grid lines and this really isn't appealing to visitors after professionalism. Your titles of your domain selling page is quite odd. "domainsforsalepg1" - again, visitors wouldn't be impressed.

You've got a great list of domains for sale though, so that is a good springboard for your site > anyone interested wouldn't mind going through the site to get the domain they want. Your bidding system seems average but does the job alright.

On your main page, your vertical banner advertisement caught my attention first. Is this what you want your visitors to look at first? Probably not. Try making it smaller and less 'in your face'.

Your 'Contact Us' link doesn't work either. This should be fixed ASAP. You might be missing out on potential customers. Getting some advertising graphics and a professional banner (get one designed at NamePros) will help your site a lot.

All you really need is the professional touch on this websites. You've got great domains for sale but your visitors are being turned away before they see them. Get this fixed and you'll find that developing was the right choice. Good luck.

Well, the site design is very clean and loads very fast. I don't know the purpose of the site still so I cannot comment much but there's a lot of ads in it which is quite confusing. Why not reduce the number of ads? Just a suggestion though.

On the plus side, the site has minimal fluff...tho on the downside, the orange/blue combination is kinda weird in my mind.

Good site for your first time. I like it. Although without the ads you wouldn't really have anything there. Concentrate on writing more content, which I'm sure you already have that planned.
